Sanur is also a popular day trip destination for tourists staying in Kuta looking to do some water sports. There are many companies offering diving along its submerged outer reef, jet skiing on top of its blue waters or paragliding in the cool breezes above this ocean paradise.
The shoreline features a cycle path that is also perfect for walking and jogging. At its very northern tip is the ferry terminal that offers boat trips to Nusa Lembongan, a small island off the southeast coast of Bali that is famous for its laid-back atmosphere.
Sanur has its fair share of markets providing an impressive range of artistic handicrafts such as wood carvings and batik paintings. Best of these are the Sindhu Market and the daytime beachfront market.
Sanur is the closest beach to the island’s capital, Denpasar, with its many temples and museums. Booking.com has a range of hotels along Sanur Beach or close to Ngurah International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport.

Kopi Kiosk was a 5minute walk away down Jasmin Gang/lane. Hardies supermarket was next door to the Kiosk for grocery supplies and souvenirs and clothing. I always recommend Sanur to people heading to Bali for a first trip or tenth trip.

We loved the shops including the women with the market stores, the beach was idilic and very clean. The lagoon and reef picture perfect with beautiful blue boats and family life.
Easy walking even with the sidewalks being made. Great variety of food and bars. Loved Icon Bali, just fabulous something for everyone's budget.
Least favorite was the bikes on the esplanade, I dont mind moving when they ring the bell but some tourists not friendly.
Love Sanur, very pleasurable and can't wait to return
Next time I'm hiring a motorbike!
I recommend Anna's warung and the satay house next to her for delicious food and unique experience

Sanur is a great place to take it easy and enjoy the balinese lifestyle. Love the evenings on the beach where you can enjoy the views without the sun in your face and if you get up early enough you get to see the sunrise.

Liked · We stayed at Sumitra Villas for a week to acclimatise ourselves for a longer stay in Raja Ampat. We loved our stay at this hotel so much we decided to return after Raja Ampat to wind down. Our accommodation was spacious, comfortable and well serviced. The bed decoration for my wife's birthday was a nice surprise. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and have a truly tropical feel with a lovely pool and sun beds.
However the best part to the hotel is the service provided by all the staff, from the reception staff; Vena and her colleagues in the restaurant to the room keeping and the hotel transport; Sri the manager and her team. All the staff are so friendly and attentive and went out of their way to make our stay very special. We really enjoyed the entertainment provided by the hotel and were lucky to be there when the hotel hosted a local traditional dance group. We were also lucky to be invited by the hotel to visit a local priests home to see a side of traditional Bali culture which we otherwise would not have seen.
It is very rarely that we have been made to feel so cared for in a hotel stay and are very grateful to Sri and all her staff for all their efforts.

Sanur itself is very busy and the beach is poor as the tide goes out a long way. We only went for the resort. Although plenty of good places to eat in Sanur along the main walkway that goes past the resorts.

Close to the beach, peaceful location close to shops, Area is perfect for families and close to the port for ferries to other islands for discovery, ideal for swimming and underwater discoveries visiting the islands off shore.
Very close to Denpasar and Kuta Beach approx. 20min drive. Very nice shops on main street of Sanur. We loved having dinner on the beach. Lots of entertainment. We loved the shopping mall ICON BALI 4min walk from the hotel. (prices are higher than expected) overall we loved our stay LOVE BALI.

The hotel's territory is big, beautiful and well maintained. The location is great - right on the beach in Sanur and close to everything. There are private lounge chairs on the beach which we really enjoyed. The hotel also has a private parking and a great choice of food for breakfast. The SPA feels quite luxurious and the staff is very nice and polite, not only there but everywhere.

The Intercontinental Hotel in Sanur was Amazing. To receive the Welcome Blessing (never had that in many times to Bali ) was very special.
The room was spacious, and the veranda room was relaxing listening to the waterfall and traditional music from the lobby
The Degustation Dinner was amazing, compliments to the Chef and Maitre D for a lovely night

Good location close to Icon Bali and lots of restaurants.
Room was very spacious and bed was comfortable. Front office team was very helpful while housekeeping team was efficient in the daily cleaning. Owners also own the Luhtu Cafe and Ayu Spa on the beachfront, so they are kind of a service extension to the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Superb Hotel on the beach in Sanur. Clean, friendly, staff excellent, room perfect, view was outstanding from our room. Bikes available to use to ride along the promenade were a bonus. We will definitely be back.
