Ajmer is an old city and the area near the railway station/hotel is poor and dilapidated. This will challenge some tourists. Not all local people are friendly but many are very friendly, helpful and curious about where you come from. I am female and was travelling on my own and found Ajmer to be a safe city. The Khwaja Muin-ud-din Chishti dargah and neighbouring bazaar streets are fascinating to see and a highlight of my trip!!!!!!

The city is a trap, They are looting people just in the name of religion. People are rude as hell. Don't trust the people as they have another opinion always. The hotel is just terrible. I got food poisoning just by tasting the food in a good restaurant.

The stay was excellent as the room size, location , mattress, house keeping room service was very good. I want say about reception boy who works excellent , very gentle and also very helpful for us. His behavior was very nice. The hotel is situated near Khwaja sahab's dargah shareef in Ajmer.

The location of hotel is very good as most of the sightseeing are available at walking distance. The amenities provided as per hotel policy. The staff of the hotel are very courteous and polite in nature. The owner and manager are also very helpful and provide information of places to visit in Ajmer.

The level of hygiene and overall upkeeping was above par. The staff, including the front desk managers were extremely efficient and courteous. Cherry on the cake was the hotel's location which is just opposite the beautiful Annasagar Lake. It was a very nice and pleasant experience for me and my wife to stay at The Fern Residency, Ajmer for two days and would surely recommend this property to others.
