excellent location in the heart of jew town. spacious/stylish rooms containing some of the same type of artful pieces that u can view in their massive more-than-20-room store/warehouse/showroom adjacent to the hotel ... called "heritage arts" & under same ownership.
the food was quite tasty, very generous in amnt, sophisticated/varied & carefully prepared.
definitely worth the splurge!
[note: rooms were advertised as accommodating only 2 adults ... but, by special request, there was no problem -- at reasonable added expense -- to add a 3rd very comfy adult-appropriate bed (not cot!) to our quite large & well-equipped room]

SingaporeThe staff at Tissa's are extremely professional, they are there to serve the guests. We were supposed to stay for 1 night instead we ended up with 3 nights!!! From the front desk Sanitha, Christina, the chef and his team including the team of cleaners. If you want something special to eat, just liaise with the Chef and voila its done! The Inn is well located to take in the sights, and eateries near by. There is a pool on top of the building if you wish to take a dip in the morning. Its quiet, large clean rooms to meet any exhausted guest arriving here. Its home away from home. Will return soon!!!!

We visited lots of historic places but the traditional Dobhi washing place was very interesting. The Kerala Backwaters were also amazing. The beach area needed regular cleaning but the Chinese fishing nets there and still in use after 500 years was very interesting. It was my friends birthday and as we 3 friends have to reach cochin an go together for the surprise, i booked the hotel. Hotel was good, staff was kind and courteous. Food was ok ok as I am a vegetarian but my non veg lover friends devoured food. I will say good location, helpful nature of staff. As I am a crafter, I would prefer more lights in the room. Cochin is a beautiful city. The first night I booked is Broadbean Hotel which is horrible experience. I paid 6944 INB for a deluxe room. However, the room condition is really disaster. That is my review i put on the trip advisor: I have never had such a terrible hotel experience. Before I arrived in Cochi, my tour guide recommended this hotel to me and suggested booking a deluxe room. After booking it online, I told the hotel I wanted two single beds. The hotel replied saying it would cost extra, and I agreed to pay. However, upon check-in, there was still only one bed. Communication was useless, and I had no choice but to give up. The room was extremely small, and the entire place was filled with a strong curry smell, so overpowering it made it hard to breathe. They provided only one dirty bath towel for two people, no face towels, the electric kettle didn’t work, and the bedside plug was broken. And the fruit flies in the bathroom. The breakfast was mediocre at best—the coffee and tea were both lukewarm. And the most ridiculous part: when checking out in the morning, the hotel didn’t accept any credit cards, only Indian cards or cash. Unbelievable! How can a hotel in a tourist city not accept credit cards? I have no idea how this hotel could possibly have five-star reviews. Definitely the most bizarre hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
