We were greeted with hot tea and very professional staff members upon check-in.
Our room had a fantastic view over the surrounding hills, including the Kanchenjunga. We had water and tea-making amenities in the room. The hotel is quite cold during winter, so wear your jacket in the common areas, but the room was well-heated with a radiator and felt very cozy. It was spacious, with an upper deck where the bed and the bathroom were and a lower deck close to the windows with a social area to enjoy the view.
The food in the restaurant was terrific, and so was the service.
Altogether, we had an unforgettable experience and will likely come back, despite Darjeeling being several days of travel time from our home.

The location is unbeatable - it's right next to Mall Road Chaurasta, making it super convenient for exploring the town. And the cherry on top? Stunning Kanchanjanga mountain views from the room! 🌄
The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the service was top-notch. My overall experience was just amazing.
Highly recommend this place for a fantastic Darjeeling getaway!

I stayed one night at Burdwan Royal Heritage Palace in Darjeeling and it was magical. The room was huge, beautifully furnished, and full of old-world charm. The lush garden was perfect for a peaceful stroll, and the view of the mountains was absolutely spectacular. A true royal heritage —peaceful, grand, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for a royal retreat!

Excellent stay at Himalok Homestay.
Excellent stay at Himalok Homestay. Mr Sagar Pradhan and Sashi was very much cooperative and very nice host. They took care about all our small to small requirements and fulfilled all our demands in a very efficient and in a polite manner. The couple are very friendly and they made us feel like a home away from home. Best place in respect to connectivity to all places with sharing taxis and vehicles. Best part of the property is the breath taking view of Mount Kanchenjunga from its balcony which is simply the best view in comparison to all the places in Darjeeling. Home cooked food by Sashi was very delicious and healthy. This homestay made our trip memorable. This homestay is highly recommended for all those who are interested to visit to Darjeeling.

I am writing to lodge a serious complaint regarding my recent booking at Hotel Red Rose Mountain Inn, Ladin La Road, Darjeeling, 734101 from 16th August to 17th August 2025 .
Despite making a valid reservation via Booking.com, the following unacceptable issues occurred:
1. Booking Wrongfully Cancelled – The hotel cancelled my confirmed booking on your platform, and the app now shows me as “no-show”, which is completely false. I checked in on time and even made a payment of ₹3,500 (screenshot attached).

The place was very poor, the room rent was different, in this much we could have stayed in Darjeeling, there was no use of living 15 km away from Darjeeling, there was a lot of trouble in commuting, the place is useless, and the room rent shown in online Goes there is taken more than what is charged on arrival, money is taken forcefully as if snatching, booking.com is a thief application which traps the customer by telling less room rent and charging different (higher) room rent.

Location shows 300 meters from center whole actually it 3 k.m. from Darjeeling Male. Location is main disadvantages of this hotel. It shows 5 star while it does not deserve any star. Room is not clean. I booked 3 rooms for 3 nights @ 3,150 Rs. per night assumed that proximity to Male. But it does not worth my money. I feel cheated and booking.com have fair share on this without checking any background of hotels listed on its website.

I couldn't find this hotel at 51 Gandhi Rd, Darjeeling, so I then had to book into another hotel.
There was NO hotel, at all, at 51 Gandhi Rd, and nobody I asked knew of it's exustence.
There WAS a Sagarmartha hotel at 63 Gandhi Rd, Darjeeling, but they had no idea about any booking for me.
