United KingdomEverything. Hotel is wonderful. A word of warning. If you are on your way to Varkala as we were, you won’t find any place to stay like this!! It’s super clean, excellent food in fact we decided we wanted lunch at 2 pm and this was no problem they just needed an hour notice to gather ingredients and it’s all made from scratch. Superb!! Lovely pool area. Very tranquil and quiet.
If you do want to go along the beach to have lunch it’s quite a walk but nice. There are a few beach shacks but our advice is stay put! Let Maxon the manager and his wonderful staff look after you. It’s super quiet which at first was a shock but we arrived in Varkala and realised how much nicer Murari beach is! Especially the cleanliness!! Watch the sunset from the beach outside. Sit on the chairs and chill. It’s magical.

HungaryIt's an amazing place. We really liked to stay here, super nice hosts. It's 200m from the beach, where you can find lots of great restaurants. The place has an AC in the rooms, and the rooms are quite big. The bed is comfy and huge. I'd definitely come back any time.

NorwayThank you for a great stay at Marari. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and so are the rooms. It feels spacious and clean. The pool is clean and nice. Elegant luxury without feeling over the top or fake.
The staff is the best part, beyond helpful, they assisted us in every aspect of our stay. Thank you especially to Ramesh, Sandra and Arun for making us feel so welcome.

United KingdomWhat an amazing homestay this is. The best accommodation that we’ve stayed at during our trip to India. The room was large, clean and comfortable with air conditioning and good wifi. The terrace outside is spacious and is a great place to relax out of the sun. The best part of Neena’s homestay though is the food. Traditional Kerala breakfasts everyday, each one different, delicious and massive, followed by local fresh fruits and juice. The homestay also offers evening meals which are all homemade, tasty and amazing value for money. Our host Augustine and his family were so welcoming and friendly, they really made our stay there memorable.

CanadaOne of the best resorts I have visited so far. It has easy access to marari beach from inside, which is not crowded and perfect getaway for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The resort provides beach chairs and security and also offers an array of facilities like pool, ayurvedic centre, activity hall (with chess, table tennis, and carrom), hammocks outside every cottage, shuttle cock, beach volleyball, fishing, ponds, butterfly garden, etc. The staff went above and beyond, catering to all of our requests like getting us tender coconuts and arranging tuktuk/auto. The rooms were exceptional - with beach towel, regular towels and toileteries. The staff even let us use the facilities after we checked out since we had a bit of time before our journey back. Our stay was just one night and we used so much of everything the resort had to offer. Would definitely come back for a longer stay.

The most beautiful beach in Kerala- clean, peaceful, naturally gifted and gorgeous. It's a little quaint town and I am glad I skipped staying in busy and crowded alleypey, and rather chose to stay in Marari which is just half n hour auto ride from alleypey.

The beach is lovely, the sea warm, and the fishing boats a real picture. Well worth walking south where there is no development and wonderful peace.We ate every day at Ecstacy, a nearby cafe/restaurant which served ace freshly prepared juices and food with many smiles.

It's a beautiful and less crowded beach destination in India. Great people and has some wonderful accommodation from budget to luxury accommodation. Alleppey backwater and beach is just 10 km from Marari.

Very small sleepy village perfect for a remote escape. Unspoiled beach and nature with friendly inhabitants. A total escape. It is not a tourist spot but a quiet escape.
The remoteness means little amenities like restaurants and shops. Come prepared with some snacks and supplies. A large resort hotel and some smaller ones, along with homestay, but little else for the independent traveller

Great area - a little away from the hustle & bustle of other areas so it is quieter. The beach is beautiful, clean & quiet. Easy to get transport to other areas for more activity - close to backwater tours etc.
Only limitation is perhaps lack of eating out options within walking area, best to have hotel with restaurant otherwise will need to travel by tuk tuk or taxi.

The resort was a little too far away from the beach and the beach had no chairs, shade or umbrellas making it very difficult to stay very long. The surrounding area was not good to stroll around. The massage treatments are a 10 minute tuk tuk ride away and are quite expensive for India £34. We have been paying £15 previously.

This was an exceptional hotel experience for our family. I am generally a lazy reviewer but this time around, I feel obliged to give one as this place has exceeded our expectations. The property itself is very well planned with a great nature and a beach that is kept very clean. The rooms are spacious and the services are impeccable.
The staff in this hotel are of the best class and I think the staff are their true strength. Very attentive, honest, meticulous and kind. I only have the highest regard for this hotel and its staff.

This hotel is set in a really beautiful old building that is full of character. Loved the decor, furnishings and the beautiful antiques dotted throughout.
The staff were fantastic, really warm and welcoming and always really helpful and responsive during our stay.
Location was good, set just off the main road and only a short walk to the beach.
The pool area was lovely.
The bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
The food quality at both breakfast and dinner was very good.

Very clean, very basic, perfect location. At short notice, Mr Binoy was extremely helpful in arranging a number of trips for us. It was no problem to stay an extra day as well as having some laundry done. The Keralan breakfasts were delicious expecially the egg curry.
Despite a few rancid dogs, standard, I guess, the beach was beautiful with a couple of relaxed beach bars serving good slow food and cold beer.

…is what you find in Cleetus Homestay. Location is excellent, Jo and Jasmin are the hosts you wish. Nothing seems too much for them. Breakfast is great and rooms are basic and pleasant!
The only thing we can say is not to hesitate but to book this homestay at Marari beach!

The room I booked was spacious and had a nice private balcony. The location is perfect, near the beach. The family was very sweet and they cooked delicious breakfast and dinner. I spent wonderful time in Marari Neena Beach homestay.
