SpainProperly properly incredible. The views from this hill top stop will slow you, I suggest, for days. The room was perfect in size and appointments, including AC. All the decor and visuals: carefully and exquisitely executed. Stay as long as you can. One thing: plan your arrival and car situation really carefully with Elga. It’s a medieval hilltop. Small price for a slice of heaven. Oh, also, Elga is a wonderful preparer of meals. Took care of my special requests for breakfast without a murmur.

AustraliaI loved the village, just amazing how it was restored. I asked Anne and she explained it to me, thank you! It was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The surroundings were that of an ancient building and I am flabbergasted how they managed to renovate and rejuvenate this and other buildings. the view from my room to the lake and hills was amazing! Anne was a wonderful host and the breakfast was divine (I ate way too much of her freshly baked cakes and home made condiments). She had lit a fire and it was cosy. There was a heater in the room, nice hidden lights and the kitchen design was stunning. Anne was very patient and helpful with my questions re wifi and the village’s restauration. Her place is right next door to a nice Osteria and it was quiet and peaceful in the village.

Arrone is such a peaceful little gem tucked into the Umbrian hills. It’s quiet, authentic, and full of charm — the kind of place that makes you slow down without even realizing it. The views from the top of the village are beautiful, especially in the evening, and you can walk everywhere since it’s quite small. I loved wandering through the stone streets and chatting with locals — everyone was kind and welcoming. Definitely try the local olive oil; it’s honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect for a calm weekend away or a stop if you’re exploring southern Umbria.

This is a fantastic place! It is a small mountain village where it seemed like most of the houses were occupied by locals meaning there were very few tourists. The view from the mountain is awesome, the pool is great (10 min walk from the hotel) and the breakfast is nice. The apartment was very clean and newly renovated.
Giuseppe runs this place and he takes care of everything in the best possible way - it was such a pleasure staying there!

Such an amazing find! We had a wedding to attend in the area and are so glad we found this gem in Arrone! Really cute apartment with cooking and washing facilities and the most amazing balcony with a beautiful view of the village and surrounding area. So nice to have our breakfast out on the terrace!! Rita was extremely helpful with recommendations and advice and we wished we could have stayed for longer!

I was walking so found the hotel a little away from the major hub of the area, and the walk was along a busy road.
I arrived early and the rooms were not ready but this was not a problem and I was allowed leave my gear in the room and use the lovely pool. The cleaning staff were really lovely, as. was the receptionist.
Breakfast was good and was available from 7.30am

Our stay at Arrone was the highlight of our fortnight visit to Italy, made special by our host Marco. Arrone is magical, a medieval hill top village that is devoid of tourists. The little church, situated only 25 yards from the accommodation contains frescoes that were painted by Caravaggio’s tutor.
