United StatesThe room was charming and very clean. Host Elga was friendly and helpful. We ate an absolutely delicious meal at her restaurant with many locally sourced ingredients. It was one of our favorite meals of our trip. We came by foot on the Via di Fransesco and it was so comfortable to have dinner next door when we were exhausted.

United StatesCase Vacanza Fiocchi is well situated in Arrone and the apartments are very spacious and comfortable. It does not follow the European small apartment template. My group was of 26 people composed in 7 families and everyone was very happy with their accommodations. The property has a nice pool and green areas and restaurant where you can enjoy a meal or a wine. We did not get to enjoy this part of the experience due to a disagreement we had with the staff but the area looked lovely.

Arrone is such a peaceful little gem tucked into the Umbrian hills. It’s quiet, authentic, and full of charm — the kind of place that makes you slow down without even realizing it. The views from the top of the village are beautiful, especially in the evening, and you can walk everywhere since it’s quite small. I loved wandering through the stone streets and chatting with locals — everyone was kind and welcoming. Definitely try the local olive oil; it’s honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect for a calm weekend away or a stop if you’re exploring southern Umbria.

The incredible atmosphere of a medieval town, the awareness that hundreds of years ago people lived within these same walls. Wonderful views and a fantastic restaurant serving delicious dishes. I recommend the truffle tartare, the rack of lamb, and the beef steak.

A very pretty village, very green, with clean air and a pleasant temperature, considering it is located about 300 m above sea level. It offers many attractions, including a visit to one of the convents of San Francesco and a visit to the Marmore waterfall.

We asked a local for advice on where to have lunch; he spent 10 minutes on the phone trying to find suggestions and finally booked a restaurant for us! This is a fantastic place! It is a small mountain village where it seemed like most of the houses were occupied by locals meaning there were very few tourists. The view from the mountain is awesome, the pool is great (10 min walk from the hotel) and the breakfast is nice. The apartment was very clean and newly renovated.
Giuseppe runs this place and he takes care of everything in the best possible way - it was such a pleasure staying there!

I was walking so found the hotel a little away from the major hub of the area, and the walk was along a busy road.
I arrived early and the rooms were not ready but this was not a problem and I was allowed leave my gear in the room and use the lovely pool. The cleaning staff were really lovely, as. was the receptionist.

Our stay at Arrone was the highlight of our fortnight visit to Italy, made special by our host Marco. Arrone is magical, a medieval hill top village that is devoid of tourists. The little church, situated only 25 yards from the accommodation contains frescoes that were painted by Caravaggio’s tutor.

We loved staying at Casa Argenti. It is beautifully restored set of buildings in the castle of Arrone. The rooms are well styled and comfortable. The owner, Elga, is a delight and very helpful.
