The location is excellent for those who love the beach and the warm sea nearby, there is also a swimming pool with sun loungers and music playing, you can have a great time. The city center can be reached on foot if you don’t have a car, and the hotel can also help with transfers to the center and the airport, this is convenient. We hope to return again.

Our stay at Baglio Cara was during the Nov. 1 holiday in Sicily and we were able to join other guests and many locals for a fantastic holiday lunch. The food for the Nov. 1 holiday lunch, breakfast and dinners was all homemade using local ingredients including some from their own farm. The family and staff were all warm and welcoming and Luca provided guests with a tower of their olive trees where we could see the olives being harvested.

Amazing little place.
Amazing little place. Locals lovely and beach is beautiful 🤩. We will definitely come back but stay longer as one week was not long enough to see everything. Done vineyard with giovanni and that experience was the best of the holiday.

We didn't visit Balestrate but used the accommodation at Holiday in Paradise as our final 2 night stay after our 2 week road trip around Sicily to relax prior to our flight back to the UK from Palermo airport. It is only a 30 minute easy drive back to the car hire place and the shuttle back to the airport.

the town is pleasant, and you find everything on the main street. the beach is a disappointment, far and dirty. it's about an hour by bus from Palermo by bus, but there are very few buses, and the train takes nearly 2 hours.

Balestrate is a lively small Sicilian town 30 drive from Palermo airport (Pmo). It is a good starting point for exploring Palermo and west parts of Sicily. The beach seemed a bit abundant but we were there out of tourist season. Rental car is essential as there is so much to explore, from beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters to traditional Sicilian villages and hiking opportunities.

Nice, rather calm town.
Nice, rather calm town. Typical colorful houses, narrow streets, swuare with historic church. They have at least few restaurants with typical, fine cuisine (try disiu pizza - perfect pizza; siculish - artisanal sicilian cuisine; cia vuru ri tradizioni - suprising restaurant with great atmosphere, food and interior). Beach is broad and accessible for swimmimg, a bit not clean (some plastic bottles, etc.), but maybe during the peak season they clean it better (I hope). We had great time, proces are affordable (cafe/restaurant). You may easily reach the town from Punta Raisi by public transport or use private transfer (public transport for 4 person is ca. €30 / private transport €35 booked in Balestrate Jumbo car rental).

Small quiet town.
Small quiet town. Between Palermo and Trapani. 30 minutes car drive to Palermo airport. Good for making trips to Erice, Palermo, Segesta, Monreale. Trafić was not bad at all. Instead of going by car you can take a bus.

All the possible amenities can be found in the apartment, from beach mat to washing powder. Everything is meticulously clean and untensils and textiles are coordinated in blue-turquoise, even the tea-towels (if you pay attention to such trifles). You feel, that the hosts love their apartment and they also love their quests! Balestrate and apartment Paguro are an ideal combination for holidays in Sicily!

An amazing villa in 5 minutes to the beach and beautiful view from the window on the landscapes and the sea.
Cleanliness and calmness are guaranteed.
The owners are so friendly and nice, they have their own bar in the centre of Balestrate, where you can have a delicious breakfast( really the most delicious in the village)
I give 10 stars out 10.

Beautiful clean, spacious , and modern apartment in the centre of Balestrate. Very nice shower and bathroom, lots of kitchen ware, washing machine and tumble dryer. Claudia was wonderful and left us treats on arrival, plus beach towels. She also kindly let us have a late check out as we had a late flight. Having 2 bedrooms was a plus.
Highly recommend.
