Ideal location. Beach across the road and then go back and use the lovely pool in the hotel. Option of three local buses to go into town centre. Takes 10 minutes. Free bicycles provided by the hotel to use on the 6miles of cycleway which runs along the beach. Hotel assisted with hire car. This is the nicest hotel on the strip. Loved it

Big jacuzzi in the living room, steam bath , everything super spacious. Beautiful art everywhere. I would rate it more than 10. It’s luxury 5* of best. Breakfast is awesome too. Sardinia in a Nutshell
The Sardinian capital, Cagliari has a historic old town, busy port and one of the island’s best beaches. The sweeping stretch of sand at Poetto offers great summer nightlife, and just inland is Molentargius lagoon, where flamingos nest against the backdrop of the city.
Cagliari is spread over a small hill and the oldest part – Quartiere Castello – lies at the top. There are far-reaching views from Bastion San Remy, its main entrance point. Medieval city walls lead from here to the simple cathedral, and nearby is the 18th-century Palazzo Regio.
By one of the original city gates is the National Archaeological Museum, housing a collection of Phoenician and Roman artefacts from the city’s Tuvixeddu Necropolis. There are also displays of the nuraghic civilisation whose former dwellings pepper Sardinia. The most impressive is Su Nuraxi north of Cagliari.
Just outside the walls are remains of a Roman amphitheatre, next to the university botanical gardens. Orange tree-lined streets descend the hill towards the seafront where restaurants and bars can be found. Cagliari FC play at Sant’Elia Stadium along the coast and opposite is the Sardinia International Fair, an important conference venue.

Cagliari is a wonderful city to explore by foot or on one of the fun trains or buses. The walled city is definitely a leisurely day, exploring all the narrow streets, and looking at the views.
We ate in several different restaurants - Antica Cagliari Bistro, Taverna Borno, Taboo Pizzeria, Taurus Steakhouse, and our total favourite for wine tasting/nibbles was Sarduzzo Enoteca & co, where we went twice!

We were there for the Sailing and this Hotel is in the most perfect spot . Would highly recommend for anyone that needs to be close to the beach and Marina . The owners Jonny and Graziella were the best hosts and could not have done more for us for our stay .

We stayed in Poetto Beach for 2 nights which we loved, then stayed at Palazzo Doglio for 2 nights which gave us a different perspective, both great. There are good restaurants, shopping, a marina, museums. It is a lovely city.

Loved the small narrow streets, thousands of small cafes, a rich history, many churches historical places to visit.
Like many fortress cities there are alot of step inclines and many steps, so a visit here is definitely for the more able-bodied of us... sorry.

Il Villino is a very nice place where to stay to visit Cagliari. It is very close to the airport reachable in about 10 minutes. It is well connected by bus to the old city centre, which is only about 30 minutes far away on foot. The surrounding is full of supermarkets, bakeries, bars cafes and restaurants.
The rooms are nice, cosy and spacious. The furniture reminds me of the traditional Sardinian style. Breakfast is typically Italian, pasta e cappuccino, very delicious.

The location is everything if you are coming from Airport and taking the train as it is 2min walk - literally! And there are restaurants and bars an 8 min walk from the Hotel (which is not a Hotel but more a floor inside a normal
Apartment building). The room and bathroom were the right size. All in worth it if you are in Cagliari just for the night to start exploring the Island the next morning.

This hotel is the perfect place for a quick getaway in Cagliari City Centre. It is only eight minutes away by train directly from Elmas airport. Room 15 across the street is simply the best - Double height, comfy dorelan beds, spacious, two big windows and close to everything. Do get comfy shoes though as the city is all uphill.

Very near Cagliari Airport. Easy to get to the hotel. A very good choice for a night's stop since we had to travel up north. There were places still open nearby so we could have dinner. A small shopping centre is situated right in front of the hotel.
