An isle, very quiet, not much crowded, there is a possibility to find a free beach easily. Dining and coffee area in the midst of the city is perfect. Old town we loved a lot. It was a perfect location for a trip with small kids (3 and 5 years old)

Quiet yet exciting Italian city with amazing seafood and great beaches. For us as a couple in our late 20s it was the perfect relaxed stay. You can easily cycle, go for a swim, enjoy Café e Cornetto at a local shop... basically anything that you can do in and around e.g. Rome, but less hasty. There are many German and Austrian tourists (but not the drinking-and-partying-kind), so beware if you're allergic to those in your holiday. Also, we didn't encounter any shady dealers or people who try to sell you "premium stuff" at the beaches or in the streets.
We recommend 3-5 days of stay, ideally not around the weekend as the parking situation can be sub-par, and public transport (both within Grado and to reach it from e.g. Austria) is not that great.

The town and the sea were beautiful: ideal for long walks, bathing and relaxation. In case of bad weather there is a thermal bath; for daily or half – daily tours Aquileia, Palmanova and Triest are also a good choice to visit. Recomment to visit also in autumn and spring, not only in summer.

Grado in mid September was not too busy so you could get around easily and get in to the restaurants you wanted to. It’s flat for walking and cycling along the seafront or inland. The old town is great to stroll around and stop for regular drinks!

Small but very cosy apartment with everything you need. The sofa bed is new and very comfortable-more comfortable than many regular beds. Everything looked new and was very clean. Elena was a super helpful host, and she even provided two bikes I could use. I hadn’t expected this, and it made my stay much more enjoyable.The apartment is in a very calm location, and with the bike I could reach anywhere in Grado within 5–10 minutes. I would definitely come back.

Grado House is a modern, spotless apartment in a quiet area just steps from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. It features a lovely private garden with a heated jacuzzi, outdoor dining area, and everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a full kitchen, washing machine, and smart TV with Netflix. Self check-in was smooth, and the hosts were responsive and helpful.

We always stay in Holiday Appartamenti when we travel to Grado. Ladies on the reception are very kind. Rooms are big and very comfortable with everything needed for pleasant stay. Shop at the corner. Restaurants / pizza around. Very close to the beach and not far from city center. Always free parking place available on the street.

Very nice family-run hotel with a big terrace giving on the laguna. The room was small but well appointed. Payment is not deducted until Check out. I forgot my bathing suit and they mailed it to me.

Lovely hotel with bikes (free up to 4 hours). Right in the centre of town, accessible from the bus station and the free beach. Nice, compact room with a window in the bathroom. Excellent breakfast.
