CanadaWe recently stayed at Palazzo Zimara to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond at every step to make our stay special.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note from the staff—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The room quality was spectacular, blending luxury and comfort seamlessly. Staying in a palazzo built in 1557 was a unique experience; the renovations beautifully preserved its historical charm while adding modern, high-end touches.
Breakfast in the courtyard was a highlight, with delicious and fresh offerings that made each morning delightful. The staff were consistently attentive and friendly, making us feel truly valued as guests.
The entire staff was outstanding, not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable. They kept us informed and offered excellent suggestions on where to go and what to do in and around the city. They even went the extra mile by providing tips for the next city we were staying in, making our travels even more enjoyable.
If you’re considering booking at Palazzo Zimara, don’t hesitate—this place is a gem, perfect for special occasions or simply indulging in a luxurious getaway. Highly recommended!

United StatesThis hotel is gorgeous! The decor throughout is very classy and the setting is the historic stone along with updated plaster. The lobby area had a bar along with a lovely lounge to sit in and an eating area for the breakfast. The room was very spacious and extra table/counter space to use our laptops, look at maps, and enjoy our coffee in the room. The bathroom was large and had a very good amount of space for our toiletries. Our room had two balconies--the balconies were small but cute and had an excellent view of the beautiful street. The rooftop garden was so amazingly beautiful--we we enjoyed that space several times to have our coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. The location is excellent--from the hotel you can easily walk the whole of Lecce's old city and tourist sites. There is valet parking offered or park a short distance away outside the residential use zone. All the staff spoke excellent English and were very willing to help. The breakfast was very good with pastry and cheese options.

From the church tower one has a great view. Another great and lively square is Piazza Sant Oronzo with the statue of the saint. Unfortunately, there was construction and closure of some part of the square but still big enough space for street performances at night. Day time was too hot. This is the land of a thousand beaches on both the Adriatic and Ionian sea coasts. Lecce is an absolute gem!
Lecce is an absolute gem! Lots of amazing historical architecture, lots of options for great food, and little shops for tourists in the centre of town. If you fancy doing a little luxury shopping that’s available too! The locals have a heart of gold, I never met one person I didn’t immediately warm to! Lecce is a marvelous walkable historic city. History has been preserved in its old town by the use of buildings from many different eras. A must find is the Museo Faggiano and the Archeolohical museum is beautifully presented There is plenty of choice regards bars and dining venues.
