The breakfast here is absolutely delicious, and what sets it apart is the unique free à la carte menu, which I haven't seen offered at any other hotel before. The location is excellent - it's very central yet surprisingly quiet, with the city center just a short walk away. The added bonus of a free parking garage is a big plus. The rooms are clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Moreover, the front desk team is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist you. Overall, it's an outstanding choice for a memorable stay.

United KingdomA beautiful building in a quiet area at the top of the hill, but not too far from town and very accessible. Family owned, the mother is still working and the daughter looks after reception and makes you feel very welcome. The dining experience was sublime, from the very high end and immaculate setting, to excellent food (four or five changing courses with two main course options). The desert are in a served buffet area and it felt very quaint and you could have lots of small amounts if you wished. Breakfast buffet superb. A kind of new 'old fashioned standards' hotel, but in a very good way. Merano is beautiful and if I return with my wife I'd stay here again and also eat there too. Salad then soup then a divine souflee then main then deserts, all for set price of 25 euro and in a beautiful restaurant with excellent staff and personal touches from the owners. It was superb. I loved it.

- the suite was in the new wing, modern spacious and well designed. With All the little details that seasoned Travellers appreciate. The bed was comfortable, there was a walk-in wardrobe, and a daybed lounge area. Large shower
- the spa area was large relative to size of hotel, with lots of relax areas, saunas, infra red, steam bath rooms. Excellent. We had massages by Sarah which was good.
- the garden must be the pride & joy of the owner.. nice landscaping (some parts look like a Japanese garden), with fruit trees as well.
- overall the hotel and room was very clean
- good location- only 10-15 minute walk into town, part of it was a nice walk by the river.

Very pretty Tyrolean town. Lots to see. Great for walking without having to hike.
Great river walks. A mix of Austria and Italy. A friendly welcoming place.
Lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars and they are not over expensive. The scenery is beautiful. We were there mid June and it wasn't too busy.
Very relaxed atmosphere.
The gardens at Trauttmansdorff castle are worth a visit. We spent about 4 hours there.
We spent much of our time outdoors.

Merano is a very charming town--an old provincial capital.
Merano is a very charming town--an old provincial capital. We walked throughout the town and everything was inspiring. One of the main shopping streets was having construction at the time but we loved the shopping, the church, the river through town--all was excellent.

Merano provides free transport for tourists with the payment...
Merano provides free transport for tourists with the payment of the tourist tax. We could travel easily to Bolzano and from there we could use the cable car to the Ritten Plateau and the funicular at the top. So many beautiful things to see and do! The Iceman museum at Bolzano was another highlight, as were the Christmas markets at both Bolzano and Merano.

Fantastic renovated building. Beautiful stylish apartments. We are a family with 2 children. We had the three bedroom apartment with air-conditioning. Each kid had its own luxury bedroom with TV. Kitchen was fully equipped, Coffee, sugar, salt, vinegar and oil are already there. Spar supermarket and bakery close by. Car park accessible via a car-lift: cool!. Building is very close to the centre of town. All restaurants, shops are reachable on foot. Merano/Meran is a very nice town, we really liked our stay.
