Easy to get around by car, i have noticed there are buses...
Easy to get around by car, i have noticed there are buses too
Be mindful, most shops open for 2 sessions mostly around 9-1pm and 3-7pm
But cafes and restaurant usually opens all day
Arrive early at the mountains for easy parking, be sure to make reservation at least one day in advance if going to visit the three zinnen
Make sure keep a few euros at hand if need to use public toilet, otherwise, can use toilet in cafe if you make a purchase

San Candido is a picture perfect town nestled amongst the most beautiful mountain range in Europe , it has everything you need for a family holiday in the Dolomites , bars, restaurants and independent shops , I would highly recommend a visit .

If you're looking for a nice calm and quite mountain village...
If you're looking for a nice calm and quite mountain village, with good local restaurants and close distance to the best attractions in the Dolomites than San Candido is for you.
The surroundings are turly breathtaking, unique natural heritage of this world.
Recommend to have a car to drive around, absolutely necessary.

In San Candido there are interesting churches. Unfortunately the baroque style one was closed due to renovation works.
The Dolomite Museum isn't worth the while. It's ridiculously expensive considering the items there exhibited, which aren't of much interest.

Small cosy village with lovely shopping as well as convenience stores. Good restaurants and very friendly people all over. Wonderful hiking options within easy reach with buses and trains! Will always be my favourite as there is enough to do but not overcrowded!

We were in a big, great maisonette just before Christmas. The apartment had all the necessary amenities. 2-3 minutes walking distance from the center of San Candido. Warm garage, warm ski room... Option to order baked goods every morning.And for the Prey family... You were great, ready to always help. We had a great holiday the whole family! Thank you Sigmund and Dominique, we will definitely come back again!

We loved this property, location and facilities were great. A good base to stop and visit Tre Cimi Di Laverado and Lake Braes, plus the town of San Candido was lovely with a great buzz in the evenings for aperitivo. The facilities at the hotel were exceptional, pool, spa, private gardens were all first class. Thank you 🙏

Great location within walking distance to the San Candido town square. Buses available for key locations including Lago di Briaes, Tre Cime and Mt Specie, and complimentary bus tickets and swimming pool passes were provided at check in.
