United StatesThis was a wonderful stay. I booked this due to a last minute change in travel plans and was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the neighborhood was very quiet by 10pm or so after the restaurants closed. The host was kind enough to email me ahead of my departure from France to warn me about some transportation disruptions. The owner's Mom met me for check in and gave me some information on the area. Ventimiglia itself is a beautiful little city. The hotel is a quick walk from the old Town which is fun to wander around, with some beautiful churches and great views of the sea. Highly recommend!

it is a historic town with old buildings, au on a heel, like a fortress. Unfortunately the buildings are not renovated and most of them look pretty bad. Otherwise it is a typical italian area (the old town) where you can see the way they live, the. way they interact with eachother. The overall town is beautiful, on the seaside, with nice people.

It is nice and relaxing to stay in the old town, as well as near the centre for the train station. You see both sides of the same town and the 2 languages of Italian and French (I speak both, so this is great). I think Ventimiglia is a hidden gem - very close to both Sanremo and Menton! Great!

The old town was interesting with a view of the marina.
The old town was interesting with a view of the marina. The restaurants offered good quality food at reasonable prices. We had excellent pasta and rice dishes which had fresh fish. It is easy to walk everywhere and the trains were on time and resonably priced.

Unfortunately, the large covered market was closed due to a fire. However, the Friday weekly market was impressive - must be more than 200 stalls!
A short bus excursion to the Giardini Hanbury was very good (but you must be physically fit, as on a steep hillside down to the sea)

Ventimiglia is a traditional border town with beaches, an old quarter, a market, a new marina and usual choice of cafes and restaurants. Excellent location for visiting nearby Italian towns and french towns are easily reached using reliable trains. Great location for visiting Hanbury Gardens (15 minutes by bus).

We liked that Ventimiglia is very close to popular places such as Monaco, Menton, SanRemo. Day trips very easy to do. Some areas of Ventimiglia were dodgy but overall people very friendly, prices reasonable and beaches not overcrowded

What a lovely apartment! Right in the middle of the charming old town, and nice views of the old Town and newer Ventimiglia. Comfortable and equipped kitchen, the owners also provided detailed directions to the unit and parking (which could be a nightmare if arriving in the evening). The apartment was spotlessly clean and staying in the old town amongst the locals was a great experience.

An excellently comfortable and peaceful hotel. Safe private parking in front. Location near the beach and the hotel also includes a beach section. The room was luxuriously spacious, and the balcony was large with a sea view. The breakfast was good and sufficient. Due to the rush, we only had the opportunity for one night, but we would have liked to stay longer.

This hotel is a much better location than the last one I stayed in at Ventimiglia. It is near caffès, a gelateria that has really friendly staff, the beach and the railway station. It is a lovely little hotel with really nice rooms, comfortable beds and a very good breakfast with excellent service. I will definitely use it for my next stopover.

We booked this hotel at very short notice due to a train strike in Italy forced us to stay in Ventimiglia for the night. The hotel room was a good size with a lovely balcony overlooking a street with very good air conditioning. The hotel has a small bar which is very reasonably priced and is in a great location.

A peaceful retreat from the bustle of touristy locations. Well equipped holiday unit overlooking the beach, great restaurants nearby and supermarket 5 mins leisurely walk. Two great markets. All in walking distance. The host is the kindest man we met in Italy. True!
