Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration...
Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration 2025 was held there this year, I had to come and visit. The city is only about an hour away from Tokyo and going there from Chiba was easy to do. Locally speaking, Chiba offers many different places to eat (some of the best donuts I've ever had came from a donut shop called Uni Donuts close to the hotel I stayed at) and a cool Anime hobby store.

The Japanese community in Chiba is very helpful. You won't get lost. Directions are very clear and they have people at every post who will help you buy your train tickets and banks are easy to find to avail of cash. I want to go back and see more of Chiba in the future. I have seen only a few of the beautiful views and the weather is very nice and the food is very delicious. I can still remember the hot and delicious ramen that my husband and I were slurping after a walk in the park. I enjoyed filming the crosswalk the most where people crossed the street in a straight, vertical and horizontal, diagonal and curvy directions. It was so fun.

Chiba zoo was great for my toddler.
Chiba zoo was great for my toddler. Chiba park was a nice walk but not stroller friendly. We thought Chiba was a very nice place to stay but there isn’t a lot of stuff to do. We will explore southern Chiba next time.

Chiba City is a charming destination with much to offer, but it's important to note that some establishments, like hotels, may have strict check-in and check-out times, which can be inconvenient for longer stays. Nonetheless, the city itself has a lot to explore, from its rich cultural heritage to modern attractions like Disney Land. It's worth planning your visit accordingly to make the most of this vibrant and diverse city.

The location was very near the Chiba station and the staff...
The location was very near the Chiba station and the staff was very nice and friendly although we had a bit of trouble communicating.
The room and the building were a bit old but the room was bigger than I expected.

The hotel is in Makuhari Messe with its exhibition centre.
The hotel is in Makuhari Messe with its exhibition centre. If you are going to an event/exhibition at Makuhari Messe then the area is good, otherwise it has no merits. For tourists better to stay in Tokyo proper. With a car there are a lot of attractive places to visit in Chiba, mainly in the Boso Peninsula but this hotel is a poor location as a base for Chiba travel. The only reason I booked there was that I had some local business.

Great location, directly opposite Chibachuo railway station. Lots of very good restaurants around, plus plenty of convenience shops. Breakfast was great, with wide selection of Japanese and Western food and good coffee. Rooms small but very clean. Only downside is the incessant loud beeping of the pedestrian crossings outside which can really get on your nerves if you are trying to work, but luckily this is turned off at night so doesn't keep you awake. Highly recommend this hotel, especially if you won't be in the room during the day!

On arrival given the option of an Eco clean, which meant that you were given tokens for your stay to use in the vending machines.
Hotel very clean, clean towels daily. Free teabags...as a tea lover this was great. Free coffee as well.
Breakfast was a buffet, good but limited choices.
Staff were helpful and polite.
Rooms were small, yet clean and comfortable.
Hotel near the train station and various shops.

The resort is really big, with Lawson, bars and restaurants inside. The hotel is walking distance from the messe in Chiba so it is a nice option if you have an event there. The public bathroom is also nice, with stone-made baths and really hot and steamy. They also have a massage place there that was really nice.

Good location nearby the Chiba monorail, and close to multiple convenience stores. Opposite a nice town square. Impressive views across the city - my room faced north and I could see the monorail line by Chiba park. Great value for the price. Short walk from the JR station and to shopping malls.
