Beautiful, clean, modern, perfectly located next to Hommachi station with 3 connecting lines. Excellent service from the staff, shoutout to Khadka who went way out of his way to help us with some luggage we left in our previous accomodations. Helping us with the arrangements and communicating with the previous hotel for us. Highly recommend Cordia!

The staff at this hotel made all the difference during my stay, and I can’t thank them enough. I was critically ill, rushed by ambulance three times due to severe acute dyspnea and bronchial asthma. I believe the golden sands from the Gobi Desert, which blew in just as I left Australia, carried allergens that triggered my attacks. I couldn’t even step outside without risking my life. It’s now day 22, and only three days ago my travel insurance finally approved my hospitalization. Until then, I was fighting for my life without the IV drips, treatments, or medical care I so desperately needed. This delay has caused further health complications. I've been xrayed, heart monitors, intravenius drugs and antibiotics, risk of diagetes, osteoporosis, had fevers, infections from being left so long to get travel insurance support, overdoses of steroids while trying to stay alive for 17 days in a makeshift hotel hospital, plus more. I won't be able to work for awhile, and it will take time to recover, and I'm a full time Australian teacher. Today is the first day I feel strong enough to write and know that I will make it home alive. I’ll be escorted back by a nurse in first class, lying down with oxygen, nebulizers, sedation, and IV drips. They'll reassess me in two days, and I hope to fly home within the week. AMAZING STAFF AT ALOFT OSAKA 🙏💕 The amazing staff at Osaka ALOFT kept me going. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to help. Roberto, seeing my hands shaking from the medications after my first ambulance trip, would bring me cereal and coffee when I couldn’t hold them myself. The reception staff booked ambulances, called hospitals, checked on me, and brought me whatever I needed. They were not just servicing me. They genuinely cared. Rajika, a lovely Sri Lankan woman, insisted on calling that first ambulance when I had my first attack. She saved my life that day and even gave me her phone number, calling me "sister.

Couldn't endorse our stay in Citadines Namba more, firstly the rooms are very very generous by Japan city standards. Plenty of room to pack, sit down, relax. The beds are very comfortable, slept very well here! Gym facilities are very good, good selection of weights and cardio equipment. Was perfectly situated for our needs, in the heart of DenDen town for the anime/video game lovers, 5 minutes from Kuromon market and only a 15-20 minute walk to Shinaibashi for more shopping, or Shinsekai Staff very accommodating with all our requests from holding on to luggage for a few nights while we're in another town, taking deliveries, making restaurant reservations and helping us book cars. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

FAQs about hotels in Osaka

A Stronghold of Japanese Culture

At the meeting point of river and sea, huge Osaka combines forward-thinking development and sure-footed tradition. This is symbolised in its temple-like, 16th century castle, guarded by ramparts and enlivened by vibrant spring cherry blossom. Dominating the surrounding skyline is Osaka Business Park, a reminder of the city’s strong role in the Japanese economy.

However, the most striking skyscraper is the Umeda Sky Building - 2 towers connected by a rooftop terrace offering far-reaching views. The nearby Osaka and Umeda train stations are linked by underground shopping centres, while the shops of Shinsaibashi’s America Village appeal to a younger crowd. Dōtonbori’s neon lights promote more shops, as well as restaurants considered the best in Osaka. In a city touted as Japan’s culinary capital, that’s quite an accolade.

The Tsūtenkaku tower overlooks Tennōji Park, home of the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art. Another nearby park houses Shitennō-ji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.

The Kyocera Dome Osaka is a shrine of baseball, and more thrills are at waterfront Universal Studios Japan, the country’s 2nd largest theme park. Also by the sea is Kansai International Airport, on its own artificial island.

The capsule hotel was invented in Osaka, and alongside this type of accommodation, Booking.com also offers luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels and traditional ryokans.

Osaka is great because there are tons of cultural activities and sights available. Plus, it's the culinary nexus of Japan--"the nation's kitchen," as is often said there. Whether it's museums or nightlife, you can find endless things to do. What's more, the people there are some of the kindest and most laid-back in the country. I highly recommend Osaka as a destination.

Hot and humid during summer.

Hot and humid during summer. Plenty of places like normal touristy area to go. If you want goodies to take home, go to B1 at hankyu department stores. Universal Studio and City for the kids. Osaka castle, museum and fish market to go too. Kyoto and Kobe are just 1 hr away. But if you want to get away from the city, go to east of Nara. Plenty of places to hike and very beautiful. My fav place is Mt Kongo and 48 waterfalls.

Good food and shopping! Highlights were the TeamLab Botanical Gardens and shopping at Shinsaibashi Sugi, Kuromon Market, and Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping St. (Kitchenware). There are so many good places to eat everywhere--it's easy to find good to great affordable places to eat wherever you happen to be.

We spent our time around Tennoji. My wife and son especially liked Abeno Q's Mall. There's a lot of affordable food and shopping. Most people want to go to Dotonbori or Shinsaibashi, but they're just too crowded and not great. I think Abeno is much better.

We liked the location of the hotel. There is also a supermarket in the basement that helped us buy food for our 1-year-old child and a station that connects to Osaka-Namba station which is very convenient. We also got a city view that is amazing at night. The rooms are spacious compared to the room sizes you see in Japanese hotels. It's also near Dotonbori. It is quiet at night, which is a plus plus point since we didn't have any difficulty putting our child to sleep.

Spacious apartment, very comfortable for our big family of 7. Excellent facilities: washing machine, kitchen, living area, and bathrooms were all well equipped. Very clean and well maintained. Location is convenient – close to Nankai and Osaka Metro stations, easy access to Namba, Dotonbori, and main attractions. Great value for money compared to multiple hotel rooms.
