We loved the practical yet beautiful rooms and the matching pink bathrobes (so stylish and comfy!) The open-air common area felt like a cozy living room, inviting you to relax, read, enjoy, or even work. The breakfast was delicious, and we loved simply lounging by the pool!
You can also rent scooters for a great price, which is a fantastic way to explore the area. The atmosphere is fun, hip, and personal, and the whole team is so kind, warm, and attentive! It was a pleasure meeting the owners Aandala and Arvid, and the manager Roderick. Thank you all for the lovely conversations and tips!

We spend 4 nights, enjoyed the beach, the pool, amazing breakfast, relaxing in the room watching movies in the huge tv. The bed was really comfortable and the inside/outside shower was unique with view of the ocean and palm trees. Would stay a again if possible!

Sri LankaWe had an amazing time at Sandil Surf House! We spent two nights there, and everything was perfect. The place was very clean, with spacious rooms and a well-kept bathroom. We were supposed to check in at 2 PM, but they kindly accommodated us for an early check-in, which we really appreciated. They didn’t pressure us to check out either, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed stay. The breakfast was awesome, and the free laundry service was a great bonus. Mr. Nuwan (the owner) is incredibly kind and friendly, making us feel right at home with his warm hospitality. What a lovely place to spend time. we highly recommend this awesome place!

Ahangama is so peaceful - it's slightly away from the busier areas around the coast. The restaurants around are in great locations, and all very calm with great vibes. It's also very easy and quick to get to neighbouring towns to visit sites, or restaurants in those locations as well.

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or...
We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

We stayed 10 nights and we really enjoyed everything to the fullest. This hotel is a very cozy, beautiful and homely vibe place to spend your holiday in Sri Lanka. The location is just perfect, opposite of Kabalana beach. The food is very delicious, every dish was prepared with love by Chef Bandu. The owner Ara and his team were amazing. You can rent a motorcycle, just ask the team, they ll arrange everything for you. Thank you Soul Inn Team, we will definitely come back.

Staying here at the Mangroves homestay has been amazing. We originally booked one night but extended to the end of our trip as staying here has been such a pleasure. The Hosts and the family are so kind and welcoming, helping with anything you can need. They're always here when you need them. A great location and set off the main road with a shortcut across the train tracks to the surf spot. It's so peaceful here and would love to stay again if we're ever in Sri Lanka.

Very friendly family. They gave me a free upgrade because the smaller room I'd booked was not available. Good location only some metres from the beach. To the surf rentals it's a 10 min walk. I didn't feel disturbed by the train, even thought it's cool somehow 🙂

Go for the more expensive room, it's worth the few rupia more.
