We had 2 nights before our flight. Not the right season for the local beach, they were beautiful down south.
We enjoyed our Negombo cooking class. Was a lot of preparing the food and even better when it came to eat it

Katunayake is a convenient location for travelers, especially those flying in or out of Bandaranaike International Airport. It’s a busy area with easy access to transportation and essential services, making it ideal for short stays before or after a flight.
I stayed at Hello Airport Hotel during my time in Katunayake, and it was a great choice. The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, which made it perfect for my early morning departure. The location couldn’t be better for transit passengers. The check-in was smooth, the staff were polite, and the room was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, convenient stop near the airport, I’d definitely recommend Hello Airport Hotel.

We stayed here overnight after travelling around Sri Lanka. We did not expect the warmth and kindness we received. The room was very cheap, yet large, clean and the proprietor even gave us lifts locally to the shops etc.

I arrived too early BUT, as a result, had a GREAT pedicure and head/neck massage, about an hour in all. Perfect preparation for a 10.5 hour flight to London. Recommended go early snd indulge yourself.

Great view from the balcony, the outside area is incredible. I would have like to investigate the grounds more, such an attractive building! And in an interesting area, bus stops right along the main road (about 5 min walk).
The rooms are basic and could be cleaner. The ensuite bathroom was a little smelly.
Wifi worked really well.
The staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful.
We received a free bottle of water on arrival.
Breakfast is available at an extra charge.
The directions to the hotel aren't clear, the tuk tuk driver needed to phone multiple times, very kindly a staff member came to the entranceway to signal for us.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my recent trip to Sri Lanka! The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Great hotel close to the airport — perfect for late-night flights!
The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, making it an ideal choice if you have a night flight. The rooms and facilities are very clean, and the pool is well maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There is also a free airport shuttle, which is a big plus. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic hotel. Not far from the airport but far enough to be away from plane noise.
The staff were all really friendly & the food was absolutely amazing - highly recommended the Chicken Kottu.
Rooms were spacious and love the colonial feel of the place.
A real gem of a place at such at a bargain price. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely airport hotel. Only 10 minutes to the airport. Nice to have a pool to swim in. Access to the pool from the rooms was easy but getting out of the pool was not. We stayed here twice on our way in and out of Sri Lanka. The first visit was better than the second but would recommend either way. Food was limited menu but very good.
