I booked Swanee Grand for one night after my midnight arrival from Australia. I had earlier in the year stayed at a 4 star hotel by the beach in Negombo, part of a large Sri Lankaen chain for the night after my arrival. This stay at the Swanee was so much more beautiful. We were awaited by the lovely staff with welcome drinks at 1am. The grounds are beautifully maintained, we had the swimming pool to ourselves the next morning. The property is colonial style with a really nice feel to it. The rooms were very well looked after and clean. It is a little oasis when you drive through the gate while so close to the airport. Perfect start to my second trip to Sri Lanka, I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you to the team there! I will certainly book again for my next visit.

We arrived close to midnight after booking the room shortly before. Despite the late hour, the room was prepared within just 20 minutes. It was beautifully presented and spacious enough for two people. The bed was comfortable, and hot water was readily available. The staff and owner were exceptionally kind and went out of their way to be helpful.

We loved the location. Further form the dirty beach, in nice green quiet neighbourhood. Close to a train station, not far from the airport. The hosts are extremely pleasant and the hotel is worth a lot more than it is sold for. The food was good, the room was spacious (old aircon bit noisy). The best part of course was the pool. Clean, big and deep. Best pool I ever had in these hotels. I could have spent a day sunbathing and swimming. Great place,

I recently had a wonderful experience at Uga Riva in Negombo. From the start, the staff made us feel so welcome and really looked after us throughout our visit. Their service was attentive but relaxed, which made for a very enjoyable meal. The food was outstanding – every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You could tell that fresh ingredients and a lot of care went into each plate. They have a nice mix of traditional Sri Lankan dishes and some international options, so there’s something for everyone, and it all tasted fantastic. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience with excellent food and top-notch service. Uga Riva is definitely worth a visit if you're in Negombo!

Mr Basil and Mr. Priya on arrival were very welcoming and friendly. Caring about how my fought had gone and making sure the check in process was quick and efficient. During my stay Mr. Basil was very conscious and attentive that my stay was good and comfortable. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for Mr. Basil and was always keen to help done with a smile and a kind word. I have to mention the food, both breakfast and dinner prepared by Mrs. Lathi. Both were of excellent quality and very delicious. I went for Sri Lankan breakfast which was a great choice. Tasty, plentiful and very well prepared. The first nights dinner was some of the best tasting food I have eaten in sometime. Mrs. Lathi’s dhal was out of this world. Thank you. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Really cute and comfortable place to arrive in Sri Lanka, settle and organise your trip :) Villa Kapuru is in Negombo, super close to the airport and walking distance from the main road of the city with restaurants, shops, as well as the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there is a pool to freshen up and the breakfast is very nice, served in the pool-patio area. The staff is really nice and helpful too, I had to send some things over there and there was no problem - thanks a lot!! Also, they have a super nice restaurant in the town: Centella Bistro, so you should check that out too!!

Negombo is one of those places that has lovely beaches, the beach were the Sentido Heritance was located was very clean and beautiful but there were parts to Negombo were the beach did have rubbish. Negombo itself has plenty to offer from the fish markets boat tours, mangrove tours and the city. Other amazing places in Sri Lanka - Kandy, Tricomalee, Jaffna and Islands, Galle.

The staff were amazing. We got there way early but they cleaned our room and within half an hour we we in it. The hotel is so well designed you don't end up walking for days. The bar, the pool. the restaurant are all perfectly positioned. The pool is near the beach and even though it was a windy day we did not feel it at the pool. The breakfast was probably the best I have had in Sri Lanka. The spa was absolutely amazing and we got a 15% discount! I could not fault this hotel - absolute gem of a find.

The room was perfect, big and clean with a beautiful style and high quality details. The place is close to the airport. The beach its like 7 minutes and there you have long beach and lots of restaurants. The owners of the hotel was very kind and help us with everything to start our Sri Lanka trip on the best way. I would like all places to be like this from here onwards. I recommend this place 100%.

Room was good, comfy bed with everything you need. The hosts are very kind! They waited me with a warm breakfast for my arrival at 5am. Really good welcome in Sri Lanka. You can easily connect from here to any place in Negombo, even walking to the beach would take around 40 mts. There is a nice terrace you can enjoy breakfast in the morning. Good wifi.

Lovely small new and modern, close proximity to airport, but further from best beaches. Buffet breakfast ( included in price) was excellent, with great choices. Well made and authentic Sri Lankan. Nicely laid out with a pool, dining area, lounges on two levels. Family run with great service.
