SlovakiaThe accommodation fully met our expectations. The staff was very kind, attentive, and helpful at any hour of the day, always willing to assist. Breakfast was traditional and tasteful, and as a nice gesture, packed breakfasts were prepared for early departures. A more spacious room was offered for stays longer than a day. The terrace was great, and the Wi-Fi worked without any issues. Everything was exceptionally clean, including the towels and bed linen provided.
The only recommendation would be to consider installing a magnetic door lock and a home intercom system, so the door can be opened remotely upon arrival.

The riad itself is stunning , a perfect blend of traditional Moroccan charm and modern comfort. But what made the stay truly special was the staff. Kenza welcomed us with the warmest smile and made me feel at home immediatly. Mostapha was equally wonderful --always attentive , and ready to help with anything i needed ,from directions to recommandations. Thanks to them, my time in fez felt effortless and memorable. Highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting the city.

SpainThe Riad was all and more than we expected. The decor is amazing. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed with appropriate bedding and towels. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as it’s in the old part of town with no traffic except for bicycles and motorcycles which we learned quickly to avoid. An easy walk either way took us to different parts of the town. Even the neighbours were very friendly and chatted with us whenever we went out. The wee shop opposite is very handy too. The lady was great even though we had difficulty with the language. It’s not a quiet area through the day but we were never disturbed at night.
Breakfast was amazing and delicious every day. Dinner also met our expectations.

Commonly spelled Fez, this city was Morocco’s capital during Middle Ages. The city was originally composed of two separate settlements located along the banks of the Jawhar River. Madinat Fas was founded in 789 by Idris I, while Al-'Aliya was founded by his son Idris II. Both towns grew autonomously until the Almoravids unified them in 1070 under the name ‘Fas’. The city is still considered a beacon of the Islamic civilisation, due to its ancient ‘madrasas’ Islamic colleges.

Fez is definitely a must do while in Morocco.
Fez is definitely a must do while in Morocco. It is a total trip for the senses and the Medina is everything everyone has said about it. Get your bearings by using placeholder outside of the Medina, the main gates as an example and then get lost. The souks are amazing and every street has something worth looking at.
- Charge your phone, every day
- Google maps worked fine for me but worth having a fall back place, mine was RCIF.
- after a while you will get a good feeling about the layout
- a photographers dream, although be sensitive and respectful of locals, who do not want their picture taken at all
- I found food to be delicious, with exceptional dishes at the clock cafe (also a cooking school)
- I arrived in Fez after a Marrakech to Fez trip through the desert, also an excellent experience
- I used tourist transport throughout and had no problems getting to where I needed to go on shared transport services
- As a solo traveller, I had no problem with Fez and felt very comfortable, although the invitations to view carpets gets a little tiring after a while. Nice carpets but not great for carry-on.

A city that is historically rich and good.
A city that is historically rich and good. The old meddinah is everything in Fes. It's very beautiful. Other than that, there isn't much to do. I recommend staying for 2 days to 3 days most. It's more than enough. The locals are generally friendly. But the taxis are hard to get, especially if you are more than 2 people. They can even scam you and raise the fare. So be careful.

The Medina is the big draw here and one could spend a whole day just wandering amongst the many alleyways and shops taking in the atmosphere, sights and sounds. That said there is a lot of repetitive tourist tat and fruit\meat stalls. I was disappointed by the tannery, not much work going on outside (supposedly now all done inside) though there was hardly any smell. Surprisingly we were not hassled too much by any shop owner and haggling for a lower price was not aggressive. One day is enough in Fes and add another day for a trip out to Volubilis and you're done IMHO. We stayed 3 days in all and this was more than enough.

The local food is great and also the cafe' and music concerts. I attended the Fez Festival of Sufi Culture and World Spirituality, an unforgettable, rich experience.

The most amazing city.
The most amazing city. Have been a number of times, and love the fact that I’m still finding places that I haven’t seen before. Especially loved the local markets, seeing the production of the embroidery that embellishes the beautiful clothes, and the sensory overload of the smells, sights, sounds and overall vibe. Can’t wait to be back.

Elena and Hamidi have been very welcoming and supported me with everything. The hotel was great, also the location in the Old Town is lovely, they booked me transport from the hotel and back, and they also organised an unforgettable trip in the desert for me at a very good price, where I had memorable moments, fun, and I took a lot of pictures in the middle of Sahara. When I come back to Fes, I will choose again Riad Fes Dar. I also ate homemade couscous in the hotel and I loved it.

The hotel is beautifully located in the medina. The rooms are clean and WiFi is free.
The cousins Abdeladim and Youssef take excellent care of the guests and give helpful advice. There is nothing that the young men cannot help with.
In the evening you have the option to eat at the hotel - the food is absolutely delicious. Breakfast is great and it is served on the roof terrace with a terrific view.
We definitely recommend this guest house
to anyone travelling to Fes!

For our entire family, staying here was an amazing experience - definitely in top 2 of stays in Morocco. Reibal is a very courteous, graceful host who is quite passionate and knowledgeable about Fes.
For each of the days, the breakfast was a feast.
The location - just outside the medina walls is/was perfect for us - since the vehicle can drop you right to the front of the Riad and you don't have to drag your baggage around.
