It is a fascinating and very busy place as everyone knows, but the incessant driving of motorbikes, mopeds etc within the narrow alleys of the Medina and souks is not conducive to enjoyment, shopping, safety or healthy breathing for visitors or shop keepers.
However there are many other marvellous museums, gardens and trips to be made which make Marrakech a great centre. One overlooked recently opened museum is the Museum of Moroccan Elegance, a quite charming display of traditional costumes.

We stay 3 nights and the experience was great.
You need to be prepared for millions of people in the street, chaos, persistent sellers and different culture and Europe architecture.
I brought loads of clothes for changing from the day to the night. You do not really need as more comfortable you dress up better is... trainers are recommended as the street are mostly uneven and dirty.
We did the Agafy desert experience and we really enjoyed everything from the start to the end. Quod bike, camel ride, dinner and fire show in the desert.
I would recommend the visit to Marrakech just for a short stay, even 2 nights are enough if you just want to discover the main points of the city.

I stayed there for a week and loved it.
I stayed there for a week and loved it. I hope to come back. I have already left another review about how wonderful this place is. I only want to add to that, that it's so great how the riad is right where the souks start, I love it. :) Only thing is, that it does take 5 minutes to walk to where the taxis come and go. But the way is flat and easily walkable.

Don’t waste too much time around the medina Marrakesh has a lot more to it in the new town . Any ignore any taxi diver who tells the venue to which you are travelling is closed . In fact just ignore any taxi driver !

Marrakesh is beautiful and vibrant. My Riad was gorgeous.
Marrakesh is beautiful and vibrant. My Riad was gorgeous. But mostly the people are amazing—so warm and helpful. I enjoyed communicating with them in their own language and just a few Moroccan Arabic words brought such smiles to the faces of the locals who would try to ensure you had a great stay.
For solo females—I felt very safe (more than I expected). Highlights: Agafay desert, Atlas Mountain hike, Hot air balloon, do a food tour or try a cooking class to learn how to make tajine or just enjoy the marketplace and explore the labyrinthine Medina. And meet and hang out w Morrocan people. Very rewarding! And of course, make sure you always accept tea if offered. I would skip the Majorelle gardens (too crowded) and go to the more serene and peaceful Secret Garden. If you want a good henna check out the Henna Cafe—the ladies are wonderful there and bring them some books if you have extra.

Marrakesh is a beautiful city with lots of history. It is clean and safe We ate at very nice places, some of them served wine. Alcohol is hard to find. The food was good. We did not eat at the food markets. Best way to see Marrakesh is with a tour guide. Our guide was Mehdi +212623033176. He speaks 5 languages and is extremely smart and sweet. we used him for the whole day. the YSL Museum and the Jardin Majorelle Gardens are beautiful, and you have to book your ticket online in advance.
take advantage of the Hammam and a massage. Wander thru the Big Square and buy lots of spices.

Quiet location outside the medina. 4 swimming pools, 2 indoors 2 outdoors. Wide selection available at breakfast. Good quality and large Technogym gym. Concierge able to organise private tours and trips (at a price). Room service prices reasonable. Good value for money compared to other 5 star hotels in Marrakesh. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Marriott Bonvoy hotel and everything was as expected; excellent selection of food for every meal, in house and excursions office where airport transfers can be booked as well, rooms were spacious and clean if a little tired, all inclusive package included all local alcoholic beverages.
