Our first time in Marrakech and we couldn't get luckier: an excellent riad, right in front the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, very comfortable, with the most attentive staff. A special thanks for the guys at the breakfast, Rabie and Mohamed, who served us like we were royalty. Already planning our second trip there, bringing some friends to show them this fantastic city,

Thanks to Hassan Kabir Mahedi from the front office. smelled like cigarette smoke (not really a fault of the company, more so the last renter) BUT they sent a cleaning crew out to see what they could do to diminish the smell. otherwise, everything else was spot on.

    Marrakech has a great vibe.

Marrakech has a great vibe. It was a lot easier to navigate our way around than we expected, and far less hassle from shopkeepers and restauranters than we expected. People were friendly and fun. We took a tour on day one, which helped - as we became familiar with major sights and this made it so much easier when we went exploring the next day by ourselves. Driving was fine - we've driven from Tarifa to Marrakech via Meknes and El Jadida. The traffic and drivers were not nearly as crazy as we had been led to believe - or maybe New Zealand drivers are of the same style!

I loved the show in safron restaurant and the vibe in kabana . The motorcycles were frightening at the beginning but we got used to it . It was wonderful to see so many different people and cultures. I really enjoyed the horse and carriage tour around the area .

Marrakech is an assault on your senses.

Marrakech is an assault on your senses. It's loud, chaotic, colourful and welcoming. Beware of the bikes that fly through the Medina. It's best to walk as close to the street sides as possible and be prepared to move fast. You will do more walking than you think, comfy shoes are a must. The food is delicious; we didn't get to sample the street food but every stall was crowded of an evening. We ate at Al Baraka restaurant on our first night; a chicken and olive tagine, a veggie tagine, cous cous, olives and bread. It was exceptional and not expensive. We had a desert excursion on our second day and again had a delicious tagine. Our third night dinner was at our Riad and excellent too. Our only bad experience was one night in the Market Square. My friend had a guy brush past her three times trying to find a pocket. We made eye contact with him and he scuttled away. The Souks are an experience not to miss. We didn't feel hassled and haggling was fun. Again, so many sights and sounds. What has to be remembered is that Marrakech is still being rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of '23. There are damaged buildings and rubble and a building site to the side of the Square, but what you feel is that you're walking in the footsteps of an ancient culture. Whose history and traditions we are lucky enough to enjoy today.

You have to keep in mind that Marrakech is more commercial point so people will do money from everything :)) It was a new world I totally recommend and I would come back. If you want something more European look like I recommend the north, but if you want to explore I really recomend Marrakech. Also book trip to Sahara or other places because Marrakesh has mostly museums that you can see the most of them in 2-3 days but its the best place for booking trips to other fascinating places.

Vibrant city! It’s like going back in time!

Vibrant city! It’s like going back in time! Horse drawn carriages, camels etc…Quite fascinating! The YSL museum and garden is a must! It’s beautiful! The Square and Medina bustle with so much life. So much to see and do. People are friendly. The food in the restaurants we ate at were great. I’lld suggest finding restaurants outside the Market area. They are more affordable.

Hotel is overall nice but not 5 stars ,most of staff are excellent, reception, spa, staff at breakfast very professional, also at bar they were very good ,also at pool area .the only thing needs more staff to work in room service because it took too long with them to do my room , I asked them around 3 times to do my room . Also another things the prices of food at pool bar area more expensive then in room ,weired, one more thing is pillows not very comfortable, clean hotel good location need more entertainment around pool area .

Breakfast was delicious, quite simple but really good quality. All the staff at the Riad were really friendly, helpful and quiet. The location is fantastic in the heart of the Medina, very close to a square with good restaurants, about a 10 minute walk from the main square but it was nice to leave the bustle of the main square behind and return to our peaceful, clean, cool and calm home from home. Highly recommend for those that like the simple things in life rather than opulent 5 star large hotels.

Friendly personal service. Lovely touch to serve tea after dinner by cozy fireplace. Comfortable rooms and surroundings, although certain facilities are basic, e.g. pool. The place does not have the facilities of a 4/5 star hotel, e.g. no TV in room, but in a way this is part of the charm/appeal.
