SingaporeThe breakfast was delivered to our room, and it was home made. The food was clean and wholesome. The room was also perfect for a family of four (and even more!). Customer service was exceptional, as the owner had gifted my daughter with a cupcake and toys as it was her birthday. When she had vomitted that night, they were extremely prompt and helpful in changing the bedsheets - the room felt brand new when she returned to bed and continued her sleep peacefully. The staff also provided helpful recommendations on places to visit and eat around the hotel. We are very much touched by the personal touch and consideration of the staff and customer service, and would definitely recommend this place for your next stay in Hulhumale.

An interesting place. Mostly pleasant people. Uneven pavements, loads of motorbikes parked make walking difficult too. Somewhat improved over the last few years. Currently (November 2025) many public facilities closed and sitting down anywhere is clearly not encouraged.

I stayed in Male for one night due to my flight home being early the next morning. It was an experience to see the capital city, but if I could have stayed on the resort longer I would have preferred. Male is very hectic and quite dirty as a city. I did enjoy a good meal, which made the experience worth it. The hotel where I stayed was also central and provided excellent customer service (Beehive Premier). The food was from Seahouse.

Absolutely visit th main Island, there lots to visit and experience. Food and people were fantastic. Beaches and activities are also great. There many different boat trips and Island flights, although expensive worth exploring. Its a dry Island so be prepared that theres no alcohol, when were were at airport to fly to Male the duty free are selling you alcohol so if you arrive with bottles etc in hand or checked in luggage its confiscated.

I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home.
As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday.
However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours.
He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.

One day is plenty.
One day is plenty. You can walk to the main square and all the main sights in one day. Entry to mosques is limited to certain times of the day (1-2) hour window so plan accordingly. Food/drink is fairly pricey and allow for 10% service charge and 17% Tax on published prices. Most places price in USD but will convert to local currency (at the prevailing exchange rate).

Male looks like a super busy city with tons of motorbikes and gas pollution.
I wish this city could prompt the substitution from gasoline motorbikes to electric bikes, which is more environmentally friendly and enhance the image of the country’s tourism and hospitality.

I loved everything, from the moment I stepped out of the airport and greeted by Kurumba transfer staff, I felt welcomed, as soon as I arrived at Kurumba Maldives i could feel the passion of the staff working at the resort, the room was magnificent, with all amenities included, I had a beautiful view of the beach from my room, Anna was helpful in touring me around the island before I enjoyed the resort and all it had to offer.
The best holiday I’ve ever had!

Good central location, easy to get to by city bus. The sign outside the property is quite small, I completely missed it when I passed by it the first time. The check in guy was helpful with helping me download the Maldives version of Uber, which was much cheaper than pre-ordering a taxi the traditional way, although he did also try to overcharge me the city tax so watch out for that. Overall a good stay.

Manhattan Business Hotel was a great place to stay immediately after our flight to Male. Their airport transfers and communication was excellent, staff being very professional and explaining everything we needed to know. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great, and the coffee was exceptional. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the Maldives.

It was a space ship experience! For me first time in a capsule hotel. Very clean, comfy accommodation. It was perfect solution for a first night in Maldives: location, price, conditions. I definitely recommend this place.

Staying in Male city was great. Location of this hotel is however been hampered by all that is happening around it. The new hotel in front of it is ruining business for this hotel!
