AustraliaWhat a wonderful welcome to this amazing hotel. All these beautiful young ladies at reception waiting to offer you a drink on arrival and allocate you your room. I had a room with a partial sea view it was something else not only could I see half the bay I could see the city and the mountains 180 degree view! Absolutely breathtaking! The hotel is on the beach, close to restaurants, shopping centres and local buses. The pool has a bar on the rooftop, from there the views are 360 degrees of everything, it is stunning. Plus there is a restaurant onsite. The hotel is very environmentally friendly with hot & cold water refill stations on every floor. The staff are super helpful, very friendly and offer excellent customer service. Even assisting me with my flight check in.

NetherlandsOur stay at Villa Lala was one to never forget, both the hotel and the location are so incredibly beautiful and the very friendly staff made sure we had an amazing stay right from the very beginning! The hotel is very romantic and can be recommended to any couple! Their restaurant including wonderful sunset views has very tasty dishes and really great cocktails! We are definitely planning to come back!
We also thank the hotel very much for helping us arranging a tour to Los Arcos and all their advice for activities nearby!

The Botanical Gardens are well worth visiting.
The Botanical Gardens are well worth visiting. The convenient bus from PV is only 50 pesos each way and departs from the old town 5 blocks up from the ocean. The gardens are a ¾ hour drive into the mountains. The restaurant is excellent. The paved and gravel trails are easy to follow; the variety of plants is amazing both in the formal gardens and the natural areas. Large pond koi fish are impressive, as is the Garden Chapel interior.

Gigantic and lively int'l city-wide street party atmosphere in play every day.. All kinds of talented street performers, artists, day and evening activity. The whole town is in a good mood. All the locals seem to welcome with open arms the entire tourism crowd. Everybody is in a happy and festive mood. Very international destination. The street food vendors, the restaurants, the shops and everything is spectacular., Puerto Vallarta tourism department has really made this town a truly world-class destination. Fantastic beaches and boardwalk, plazas and outdoor celebrations abound.

It was clean around the turists areas however still dirty on the side streets.
Lots of plastic bottles and cans
Maybe the city needs more garbage cans so people can dispose their trash.The beach needs more nightly clean ups
Overall it is a beautiful city.

In November the pacific was warm - I got in the ocean every day without hesitation. there can be a big under tow however so some days I only got wet and left. Most days I could swim. It's now the blue of the Caribbean - it's the pacific ocean.
There are plenty of restaurants and tours. It was a very safe place to be and we walked and took the public bus and uber. We took a taco tour and loved the food. (Vallarta Eats) It made us realize that some places may look a bit sketchy, but they are clean and safe to eat at. And very inexpensive. Then there is some fine dining as well which is about US prices. Cafe des Artists was delicious and beautiful.
Apparently there are several bars with live music (we were told) but we were more the early to bed early to rise type.

I recently stayed at Tropicana Hotel in Puerto Vallarta and found several things to enjoy. The location is unbeatable, right on the beach with stunning ocean views and within walking distance to the Malecón and Zona Romántica. The pool area is clean and relaxing, and many rooms offer lovely balconies overlooking the sea. The hotel overall has a charming, old-Vallarta vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere.

the location was very good. The hotel was situated ear the beach and a very interesting street. Lots to see and do. The hotel was reasonably priced but you could spend more and get an ocean view. The hotel has its own restaurant with an extensive menu and the service was excellent. All in all a good place to stayfor a visit around the romantic zone and the beaches.

We loved the service, complementary breakfast, proximity to the beach, rooftop pool and views. Such a vibrant neighborhood with many food options! The hotel even had drinking water available for guests to refill. We’ll definitely stay here again if visit Puerto Vallarta!

Great rooms, pool, and breakfast. You can take out a cooler to bring with you to the beach which is near by. Close enough to the Malecon so taxi is about 80 pesos. Nice view from the window. Great shower!
Overall a great option for Puerto Vallarta.
