They treated us excellent and Carlos and Alejandro from the kitchen were even sweet enough to make special little things for our one-and-a-half-year-old baby boy. EstoniaThe most beautiful view of the entire Mexican holiday (we stayed in 12 different hotels during the whole trip)! Room was spacious, clean and again the views from the room, just breathtaking! Excellent beautiful pool- very relaxing after a day at the beach. The breakfast was very tasty, I especially liked the fresh fruit selection and we asked for fresh pineapple juice, it was just great (pure nice sweet pineapple without any additives). And last but not least, the hotel staff is very well selected - excellent communicators, friendly and welcoming, thank you! :)

San Agustinillo is a quiet strip between Mazunte and Zipolite. It's lovely and peaceful, has some nice cafes and restaurants so you don't need to venture further if you don't want to. We found our favourite lunch place - Umami, and our favourite dinner place - Restobar Del Fondo. Both are delicious and not too pricey!

San Agustinillo is a sleepy village where the primary activities are lounging, swimming, surfing, and eating. It seems European/North American expats make up a large proportion of permanent residents, making it difficult to discern who the tourists are, so expect to see high numbers of caucasians. Nearby Mazunte (15 min walk) is slightly larger but is much the same with more dining/shopping options open later into the evening, attracting a younger crowd.

Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children. Quiet little town, much mellower then Mazunte. Lots of traffic on the main road. Remember to bring cash - the ATM overcharged us (and many others), and most places only accept cash. I'd definitelty recommend getting out on a boat to see dolphins, turtles, and maybe a whale!

It’s a small pretty town with fun activities and places to visit. It’s a good place to relax and forget about everything else. I’ll recommend visiting the neighbor towns (Puerto Angel, Zipolite, Mazunte, and Ventanilla). Zipolite is a nude beach that has nice hotels, beach-clubs, and restaurants. Ventanilla is fun to see the Crocodiles, horse back ride, and turtles. Mazunte has the turtle museum which is not very good. It’s nice to walk around. Visit Punta cometa.

The beach is very nice.
The beach is very nice. There are some nice restaurants or bars on the street but not so many options and not so living place like mazunte. However, you can easily walk to mazunte and rinconcito street.

This accommodation was 10/10.
This accommodation was 10/10. We rented a scooter for 500mx/day which was easy to travel between the town of Mazunte/Zipolite and San Agustinillo with no issues (day or night). I would highly recommend this stay if you are looking for a little more remote and relaxation. It is a little out of the main town so a scooter was convenient. Otherwise, the hotel will help you getting a cab whenever you need.

I loved it here! It was such a cute, brand-new property a very short walk into San Agustinillo. The semi-outdoor shower (with hot water and great water pressure!) was amazing as was the very comfortable bed. The pools were fun and the staff was very nice. I didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast, but the chef of the pizza restaurant attached to the hotel is a well-known pizza chef formerly of La Termita (which I loved before they sadly closed). Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Had such an amazing stay at Casa la Ola. The room and facilities exceeded our expectations. The staff were so helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Pool was great and the beach is only a 3 minute walk across the road. Plenty of nearby restaurants and shops either in San agustinillo or a quick walk over the hill in Mazunte. We hope to return soon! Muchas gracias a todos

Liz and Marcos were so friendly and accommodating! They made a delicious breakfast and one of the best Margaritas we've had in Mexico! The view from the hotel of San Agustinillo beach is incredible. Arguably the best view in the town to enjoy from our room or at the pool. Bedroom was spacious, AC worked perfectly and the bed was incredibly comfy. Highly recommend this hotel!

Such a great welcome from Mano. Perfect position on the beach. Comfortable room. Great restaurants nearby, including El Navigante and Resto Bar Del Fondo, with fish landed that day. Worth getting up at sunrise as the boats come in!
San Agustinillo is more charming than next door Mazunte.
