Everything seems to have been done with care and thought for the guests which made the stay a very special experience. I literally had to look up the developer bc it seemed to be so high-end and rare in hotels in this range. It was also my mom's birthday and the staff kindly served us some cake and decorated the room with balloons which was a lovely surprise.

Great place to explore the old town as well as shopping for authentic foods, clothing and other Penang products. Plenty of authentic places to "taste" Penang - traditional restaurants, hawker (street food). Recommend hawker stalls next to Chowrasta, Keng Kwee Street.

If you visit Malaysia, George Town Penang is a must on your list. From Heritage Buildings to Nature to Great Food to Beaches and more. Do visit Artlane and Mano Plus for gifts and experiences, China House for their cakes and drinks, Ome Spacebar for real coffee lovers, Aayu Homes for heritage building living. Do sign up for workshops at Aayu Homes. Last but not least, make sure you have a full weekend there to visit hin Pop Up Market. Check out their instagram!

Old Town was swarming with international tourists, many pushy, aggressive on narrow busy streets. Old buildings not as impressive as I expected. Clan wharf-souvenir alley. Indian food street carts a highlight. Grabs(Ubers) easy to grab. It’s a phone world now, sometimes needing to order in a restaurant after scanning a QR. You will need a SIM card. Botanical Garden special houses all locked up. A bit run down but a lovely place to walk about and get some fresh air away from the crazy, manic, dangerous if you are walking city traffic. I would not return.

It's very touristic and big. Bigger than i expected.
You can take a free bus if you're in the downtown area or get a paid bus to go further. Grab is also available.
Plenty of things to do and to see, eat and relax.
Unfortunately, i got there when the tourist season was pretty much over, so some things were closed

Great local food like assam laksa, char kway teow, coffee, chicken rice and many other local favourites. People are friendly too. Transport is easy with ride hailing app and there was even a free Central Area Transit (CAT) service to help us to move around the central area; travelling to Chinatown is easy with this free CAT service from KOMTAR which is very near the hotel.

Hotel Lang Hoose is located in the centre of George Town in walking distance to all the sights, plenty of restaurants on the doorstep and easy walk to the ferry terminal. It’s an old colonial style hotel with lovely features and it’s very quiet. We had an upstairs room with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Basic breakfast is provided. The manager is helpful and helped us getting to the airport - and had good information. Thank you Chris for you help and a great stay:-)

A smaller boutique hotel will always win for me over a large hotel. Seven Terraces is just the right size in a perfect location of Georgetown where everything is just a walk away. The staff were very helpful, in particular the lobby staff and a lovely young man who served us in the restaurant and a few breakfasts. Pool was great. Especially sitting alongside eating delicious sweet treats for afternoon tea. Worth visiting the restaurant onsite for dinner. Truly enjoyable.

Location is at the heart of George Town, easy to go to attractions but have to cross this crazy busy street with no traffic lights to where the food are. The hotel converted from old shophouse was also beautifully decorated with old refurbished furniture. Staff were all very friendly.

A beautiful historic building in walking distance to all George Town has to offer. The hotel pool was a great respite following visits to the nearby Hawker Market and world renowned eateries.
