Over the years we stay in this town and second time in this hotel. Let's be clear - it's used mostly for layovers, flights waiting and etc. For 1-2 nights it's fine, but no more. Breakfast got worse in 1 year, no free tea of coffee as it was before. Rooms are very basic. No amenity kit inside, basic shampoo, soaps. If I remember correctly - no tea in the room also.
Van der Valk Schiphol is 10 minutes’ drive from Schiphol Airport and 21 km from Amsterdam. Guests benefit from the free shuttle service and free WiFi throughout the hotel.
Moxy Amsterdam Schiphol Airport - a stylish and playful hotel, just minutes away from Schiphol Airport. At the hotel you will experience smart service and an industrial design.

The hotel shuttle facility to airport was excellent

Quiet Suburb near Amsterdam Airport
Hoofddorp represents one of those typical Dutch engineering marvels. Created after the draining of a lake and surrounding marshlands, it is today a mix of the traditional Dutch and ultimate modernity. Hoofddorp is located next to Schiphol International Airport and less than 30 minutes by train to Amsterdam city centre.
Founded in the mid-19th century after the draining of the Haarlemmer Lake, the town still maintains old typical houses, an old fort, and the 1856 windmill called ‘De Eersteling’, or ‘The First’. But the town is mostly known today as a tranquil suburb of Amsterdam, as well as an important hub where several companies have built their modern headquarters.
From Hoofddorp Railway Station you can reach the main hall of Schiphol International in less than 10 minutes by train. Links to Leiden, Utrecht and The Hague are also available, as well as numerous bus lines.
Hotels in Hoofddorp can be found in the city and near the railway station, but most of them are actually in the premises of Amsterdam Airport. Booking.com offers a variety of deals in and around the town.

Hoofddorp appears to be where a lot of the main hotels for Schiphol Airport are situated. Arriving there late at night, and coming only because I needed to stay somewhere after flight cancellations, I didn't have a chance to assess the place much, except that it's full of hotels and very busy (traffic noises right through the night). But it's convenient for the airport, although I wouldn't want to drive the route myself. If you're stuck at Schiphol (as I was), look for a Hoofddorp hotel with a shuttle service on offer, book it, then go out through the main airport entrance, walk through the buses and look for stand A9-13. That's where the shuttles come to, and most of them post their (frequent) pick-up times on the bus shelter.

The travellers need to decide whether to stay away from the main city as it is quite costly to travel to Amsterdam city centre. There was no facility available to book tickets for a week at the Railway Station. One has to buy a return ticket every day at the kiosk to travel to the city.

Friedly people ready to help.
Friedly people ready to help. Shuttle to and from hotel worked well for us but had trouble finding it when we got to the airport. We phoned the hotel for the location of the shuttle but got the wrong directions but finally figured it out after we phoned a second time and talked to someone different.

Very disappointed with my stay.
Very disappointed with my stay. The room was dirty and many supplies were broken. The staff at the front desk was rather rude and didn’t do any effort to solve our questions. It was a very expensive stay compared to other hotels in Amsterdam.

Brilliantly location for the airport.
Brilliantly location for the airport. Unless you have to, don't waste money on a taxi. The train from Amsterdam Schipol airport is quick and easy. Likewise, central Amsterdam is very easy from the hotel too by train. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is well stocked, varied and very tasty indeed. The room I had was big and comfortable and the bathroom was great too. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
This was a stopover due to flight being canceled out of Amsterdam airport unfortunately the hotel could not cope with the rush of customers it was about to queue of 25 people when we arrived and it took over an hour and a half to book in and we had to be up at 5:30 in the morning to leave they were very difficult in trying to arrange a taxi stroke shuffle for us back to the airport. All in a very poor experience when we were already stressed.
Schiphol airport had a number of canceled flights, so the hotel was busy, the room was not ready when I arrived, but one of the staff members, Felicia, who's shift was finished, volunteered to help with my room. It was very kind of her!
The room was nice, spacious, nicely furnished, bed was comfortable. The shuttle to the airport was reliable and on time.
Comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfast and very helpful & friendly staff. When I asked to change rooms because my room was close to the construction site next door, it was no trouble and they helped me straight away. Would definitely recommend for a stay close to Amsterdam and Schiphol.
Very close to the airport (4 minutes by train, entrance to the train station is 150 yards away), room has good value for money and breakfast was included. All in all very recommendable, would consider booking this hotel again when travelling early from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
Good location via 8min bus to the airport. Decent room, shower and breakfast (extra 15euros). The bus to the airport also goes to Amsterdam city centre, by the Rijksmuseum ~45mins. The airport has a big train station with faster trains to Amsterdam centre.
Excellent American breakfast. Very polite and friendly staff. Schiphol airport is nearby and very easy to reach by bus or by train. The hotel, or at least the room I stayed in, was very quiet. This is surprising as the hotel is very close to the airport.
The hotel is close to the Airport and that is its main feature.
Besides the services are excellent, such as cleaning and comfort.
My stay was too short to say more. By the way, if I come back to Amsterdam again, this hotel will be a very good choice
Location is very close to Amsterdam Schipol Airport and the hotel provides a shuttle bus service for free. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Definitely an excellent option to rest properly before or after a busy travelling day.
The location is good only in terms of closeby to Schiphol airport. The rooms are spacious and facilities were good. The staff was also courteous & helpful. The ambience of hotel is nice as expected from a premium kind of hotel.
Front desk employees are very nice and helpful. This hotel is 10 minutes away from the airport, and offers a free shuttle. I have stayed here 3 times now and will again the next time I come to Amsterdam.
Hosts were more than accomodating and very friendly. There was a sense of community when seeing them in-between trips leaving the city and coming back from Amsterdam Central. I'd come back again (:
Frendly informative staff, close proximity to Schiphol Airport and direct bus access to central Amsterdam combined with excellent value for money makes choosing the Maxhotel easy to stay.
The hotel is 7 mins drive from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, and 20 mins walk from Hoofdoorp Train Station. Excellent breakfast, great WiFi and front staff are nice and helpful
The room was quite. It had parking space. Was almost full but still managed to find a parking spot. The location is 28 minutes by drive from the Amsterdam center by own car.
Location is very convenient for taking the bus to Schiphol airport or station, hotel is clean and uniquely decorated, staff is nice, easy check in and out
