Rotterdam was not as crowded as Amsterdam. The transport was excellent and it was easy to get around, even in middle suburbs. Het Park was a lovely place to spend time in. Markhal was fun to look around.

Rotterdam is one of the nicest cities in the Netherlands.
Rotterdam is one of the nicest cities in the Netherlands. They say: "Amsterdam has it, Rotterdam doesn't need it!" and it's true. Although tourism numbers have greatly increased, Rotterdam is a much nicer place to go than Amsterdam, in my opinion. Just day trip it to Amsterdam (if you absolutely must) and stay in Rotterdam, and you will have a much better time!

I'm going to hijack this space to promote the Rotterdam Marathon, since that's why I was there. I've run 20 marathons now and this is one of the very best. The city comes ALIVE out on the streets and the crowds are SO supportive of runners, constantly encouraging individual runners by name (printed on bibs) throughout the entire race. Thank you Rotterdam for such a great experience! And for any marathon runners who read this, you really need to run this race and visit this city!

It is a very interesting city from an architectural point of view. Old is mixed with new and the new buildings are mostly very special.

Overall the city of Rotterdam, is very easy to get around as there is a great transport network there. Unless you are traveling very late at night or very early in the morning the frequency of the buses, metro and trams is very good. There are lots of places to eat and drink. If you just want to sample a few places then I would recommend going on a food and drink tour (There are lots of different tours you can do in Rotterdam) One of the best ways to see Rotterdam city center is by bike. If you are looking to see the city as a whole then I would recommend the metro. Rotterdam has lots to offer. This includes various bike and walking tours, markets, museum's, Zoo's and Architecture
The hotel is 10 min walk from the central station and next to pedestrian aria with shops and food. It is 10 min walk from Markthal and the cube houses (if you want to visit this part of the central area of Rotterdam).
When we arrived we got free room upgrade, which was really great. The staff was very helpful and explained everything about our stay in details.
There is 24/7 market stall in the hotel, where you can get something for breakfast and pay for what you get. The selection was a bit limited, but the food was delicious.
A very convenient hotel if you have to take an early flight at the Rotterdam airport.
All is functional, so it's clean, silent, comfy and good value for money (the main reason we booked it). This is not a leisure hotel, but a business/stopover hotel (exactly what you expect from an IBIS Airport) and the area is... well, the airport, so it's not fancy, but does the job and for a very decent price. The staff was nice and the check-in quick. Good value for money.
The owner/ staff was really nice, and friendly. He helped us to check in after the reception was closed, as they didn't have 24 hr reception. The room was really clean, comfortable and had hot cattle, coffee and tea. The hotel is very close to the Central Station, where you have a metro/tram/bus to go around the City or you can even walk towards the city centre. Overall it was a good experience and I will Highly recommend this place in Rotterdam.
We booked the family duplex and it was an amazing stay. the rooms were very bright and spacious. the terrace was lovely.
breakfast in the hotel was really good and plenty of options. staff very polite and helpful.
location is close to everything and we enjoyed the cruise and crossing the bridge every day .
the kids felt so comfortable and happy,we ended up extending 1 more day.
it will be our “go to” next trip to Rotterdam.
Great choice if you have early departure or late arrival because it's really close to the airport - just 5 minutes walk away. The city bus stop is also right away. There's a 24/7 mini-store right on the first floor of the hotel building with snacks, drinks, shampoo, etc., very convenient for travelers. The room was nice, clean and quiet, with huge-screen TV, kettle and a choice of tea/instant coffee.
City Hub Hotel Rotterdam offers a novel pod concept for a memorable stay; our first time was met with a good experience. With a prime city location, all public transport options nearby, and main attractions within walkable distance and friendly staff and other facilities, we thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience.
The apartment is very clean and spacious. Big window for natural light enable me to see the city in day time and night time. Besides its' location in the city center, it eased us in finding food and shops . The staffs are helpful as well and willing to answer any questions . Will stay here again if I visit Rotterdam
We spent just one night at this hotel, but we really enjoyed our stay here.
The location is very good as it is in the city center and also close to the main train station.
The room was big and clean and the breakfast was also nice.
We will definitely stay here again if we visit Rotterdam in the future.
The room was a good size and it was painted in orange color. I found the bed comfortably enough and the room was quite clean. It's next to the airport which I think it was very convenient. There is a bus stop a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, that takes you to downtown Rotterdam.
Location was excellent right next to the metro. Car parking is expensive in Rotterdam so we left the car in a safe car park (which was next to a metro station) on the city outskirts and travelled to the hotel by metro. Bicycles were available free of charge at the hotel.
Although looking a little tired the hotel had everything I needed. It wasn't far from Rotterdam Centraal Station and I found plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. The hotel was quiet, which I appreciated and the curtains fully blocked the light.
Hotel is located at Rotterdam airport and it is perfect for early morning flight. Room is spacious, beds and pillows are perfect. Everything is clean and smells nice. For the first time we saw bunk beds with TV's. Three TV's in room. 10/10
A unique hotel interior, and friendly staff who stored our luggage for us both before check in and after check out.
Additionally, the hotel was located a short walk from Rotterdam Centraal, which made the rest of the city accessible.
Wonderful hotel, always stay here when in Rotterdam. Basement bar is speakeasy like, oysters and Dutch sirloin in the restaurant we're great. Room was big by European standards, large bathroom with nice shower, separate toilet.
