From the clean, comfortable rooms to the exquisite cuisine (better than the local restaurants we visited!), every aspect of our stay was designed for relaxation and delight. However, what truly set our experience apart was the extraordinary presence of the manager, Dol.
From the moment we arrived, Dol exuded warmth, kindness, and an unmistakable passion for hospitality. With decades of experience as a trekking guide, his vast knowledge and resourcefulness was evident in every interaction. His mastery of professionalism, practicality, good sense and great humour is rare even in 5-star deluxe hotel managers. There are many excellent hotel managers out there, but Dol goes above and beyond what can be learned. He welcomed us not merely as guests, but as friends, and he made us feel like our comfort and well-being were among his highest priorities. His genuine care helped make our our stay a memorable journey of discovery and delight.

ItalyLocation was great, just 15 min from the airport and so close to Thamel. The bed, pillow and room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was yummy every morning. Had the best Newari food-set there, it was simply delicious. Their customer service is excellent, you can tell they are very dedicated to the customers. My room had an amazing hot tub and a beautiful view of the city. Take some time to visit their terrace bar, it is so peaceful and the view is amazing 🤩!!!

People in Kathmandu are friendly and helpful. The weather was fair for this time of year. A lot to see and take in. Shopping, eating all the very delicious Mo Mo soaking in Jhol. All the Temples, Shrines, breathtaking mountains views, and of course Mount Everest.

Some part of loads were not paved so sometimes like rush hour the air becomes so dusty due to so many cars and buses. Some restaurants would charge some extra fee if you offer to pay by credit card. cash would be better in a local restaurant.

My visit to Nepal was full of beautiful surprises, incredible vistas, and lovely warm people. I would recommend a trip to Nepal to anyone with a keen sense of adventure and anyone wanting a serious change from the Norm. From Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp to Chitwan National Park and finally Pokara you can't ask for a better adventure. I definitely be returning here.

On the first day of Kathmandu in the city bus I was stolen...
On the first day of Kathmandu in the city bus I was stolen money from my poshest. Until that time I had thought that Nepali were honest and diligent. So that I didn’t pay attention to things like having my money stolen on the bus.
On the last day the airport was closed because of the strike, so I had to reschedule my ticket and stay in hotel one night more
The city is so dusty and lots of rubbish.
However, I like the old cultural constructions and festivals.

You have to say No!
You have to say No! Everyone wants you to buy from them but they are used to being rejected. There are some people wanting to talk to you, often wanting to show you their workplaces etc so they can lure you in to buy their wares. Conversations always start with Hello sir/madam. Which country are you from?
However, lovely people and a lo ely place, full of history and religious beliefs.

Situated in the thamel area my garden house is amongst the best hotels I had experienced with beautiful garden ,clean and neat rooms hotel staffs are very helpful and most amazing thing is food which was best .and main thing is the transportation which you can find very easily just one minute to reach tourist bus station .

Everything was perfect - I spent few days in Nepal in different locations and this was the best hotel. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and staff was very helpful. Locations was also good - right in Thamel.
