Always on the Move
A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War Two. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural offerings are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centres than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.

It’s a lovely city to explore for a short trip. People interested in history will be delighted. The city was quite busy with tourists since it was close to Christmas time, and the public transport is excellent.

Ease of transport very cheap too.
Ease of transport very cheap too. Lots to see and excellent music recitals.
It’s easy to get into the city from the airport Chopin by train.
Fascinating history great river cruise & Xmas markets.
Goid restaurants either local dishes but beware you have to queue outside to be seated.

In here you can try meals from all over the world.
I had Korean Chicken with fries on the street Christmas Market and I absolutely love Polish cuisine such as dumplings and pancakes.

Beyond the largest and well known museums, which are a must if you’re visiting Warsaw, we thoroughly enjoyed the Museum of Life Under Communism. A small, uniquely curated space, with a collection of fascinating facts and items, from nearly every aspect of everyday life in Poland, during the years under communist rule. This museum is a genuine gem, not to be missed. We highly recommend it.

Be careful of taxi drivers as they are quite thieves and charge much more than they should, especially if you are traveling to the airport where they know you don't have time to call the police...
Otherwise Warsaw is an indifferent city.

Very good city a lot of stuff to do, stores opened after 18h and some of them are 24/7 unlike FRANCE where everything closes at bloody 18h max. The central is very pretty and modern and very accessible. Also, extremely bloody lovely food.

Location was excellent, on a walking distance to center and old town, metro station is across the hotel, Narodowy Stadium is also short walking distance away if you are in Warsaw for the concert. Breakfast delicious, bed very comfortable and spacious rooms. Every day, staff left new bottled water in our room, something I have never experienced before.

Wonderful building very historical excellent location rooms top notch breakfast one of the best ive had ive stayed in many 5 star hotels in warsaw but you litteraly feel your staying in a palace would deffo stay again in the future and would reccomend it to anyone who wants a little bit of luxury

Great location, only 5 min to the airport. The hotel offers free shuttle to departure terminal. The facility is well maintained and the staff is supper friendly and helpful. I recommend visiting the hotel’s restaurant and try their duck leg. It is the best duck I ever had in Poland!
