Resort hosts and David greeted us warmly, upgraded us to a stunning sea-facing villa, and even surprised my husband with a delicious homemade lava cake hidden in the room. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make us feel at home. During lunch, David and Erik surprised us again with a complimentary cheesecake for the birthday boy, which was the perfect way to end a perfect meal.
But the true star of the show was the place itself. The views from our villa were simply breathtaking - endless turquoise waters, lush greenery, and the sound of waves crashing against the shore. It felt like we had stepped into a postcard paradise. We spent our days exploring hidden coves, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and simply relaxing on our private balcony, soaking in the view and the incredible service.
Blue Horizon exceeded all our expectations and made my husband's birthday truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return and experience it all again. If you're looking for a luxurious and unforgettable escape, look no further!

So much to see but didn't have enough time! People were friendly and helpful!! Recommend bio bay tours and other sights! Ask for Leonardo he was great! Very informative!
Food at Bananas was good recommended by the locals and the little kiosk across from the restaurant served excellent frozen Pina coladas.

Vieques has beautiful beaches. Everybody talks about Flamenco beach in Culebra, but in my opinion, Vieques has better beaches. If you are looking for beaches with facilities, you might not find many in Vieques. However, if you like natural settings, Vieques is the best option. It has some of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. Most are just a few steps from where you could park (you will need a car).

The island is beautiful and the ferry ride from Ceiba is nice. Transportation on the island is the biggest issue. You need to reserve a jeep or golf cart rental before you arrive as they will rent out during heavy travel periods (like the week leading up to Easter). We didn't reserve a rental before we arrived and ended up having to hire a taxi to take us around. Each trip costs $10/person. If there are more than a couple of you and you plan to go to more than a few locations (including the trips back and forth from the ferry), it makes sense to rent a vehicle. It is a surprisingly hilly island with curvy roads and no street lighting. Driving day or night looks to be challenging with the narrow curvy roads and wild horses. We were only there for one full day and only visited Playa Caracas and Esperanza which were both great. We also did the Bioluminescent Bay (Mosquito Bay), which was our main reason for visiting the island during our visit to Puerto Rico. If we had a jeep, we would have tried to squeeze in a few more sights.

Beaches are awesome but don’t expect seaweed/sticks to be raked off.
Too much trash on the island.
Expensive.
Red Beach and Media Luna are my favorites, but Esperanza beach and Sun Bay are also beautiful and yo can walk to them from the town of Esperanza.
Really liked Bananas restaurant best, and Kristy’s is nice for breakfast.
Rental UTV’s and golf carts are there at Esperanza. They are too expensive in my opinion. We did see the taxi buses were coming out to Caracas (Red Beach) on Saturday.
Snorkeling is our favorite. We’ve been to bioluminescence bay before and it’s cool. Walking the Malecon in the full moon is nice. There are some jet skis to rent but we didn’t try it.

We spent one night on Vieques, and it was enough time. There is currently an issue with too much seaweed on the beaches on one side of the island, so we restricted our visit to the resort we stayed at and then we walked around the area near the ferry terminal to have a bite to eat and buy souvenirs. If you rent a car or golf cart, use caution when driving. There are wild horses and chickens in the roads frequently. It is a beautiful island.

Nick, the owner, was friendly. The guest house is in a good location that makes it easy to get to the N and S sides of the island. The guesthouse has a nice game room with a fridge. They provide beach towels free of charge. They gave us a hand made key chain which was a nice touch. While the rooms are clean, the common areas have many small piles of chicken and peacock poop that are not cleaned, but left to dry. The birds are part of the property.

EVERYTHING WAS MAGICAL! We could have not hope for a better place to stay in Vieques. The property is beautiful, the views are amazing. We had such a great time, it is a peaceful place - perfect to relax and recharge!
Patricia and her husband are the nicest hosts. The breakfast served is delicious. Everything is home made and so tasty.

We had an excellent experience there. Tyler and Suzann were marvelous hosts and made our experience on the island much more enjoyable. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us lots of great advice on places to go and wonderful restaurants.

The breakfast was not the greatest but then the supplies in Vieques is limited. However the owner and the staff are one of the best I have even come across and are very accommodating.
The atmosphere was a perfect place for vacationing.

Comfortable, clean room, great location, lovely view from the pool and delicious breakfast. Breakfast staff were very pleasant. Honesty system for bar and library. Proximity to malecón was convenient.
