We had 2 rooms with a connecting door between them - the rooms were very large and clean, perfect for a family with teenagers. The food was out of this world (especially the dinners). Free parking and high quality internet. Highly recommended !

It is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, which guests can access via the hotel elevator. The hotel grounds are amazing and well-maintained. You feel comfortable and safe here. The receptionist was perfect. I don't remember her name, but she knew we had a young son and wanted to help us with everything. She was so helpful that we have never experienced anything like her. Thank you. Anyway, all the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The food was excellent, with nothing missing. We felt at home here. Thank you and we hope to see you again soon.

United StatesI am afraid I won't be able to adequately describe how beautiful is the area where hotel is situated and how peaceful and unique the hotel itself is. Just hope to come back in warmer season to enjoy private secluded beach the hotel offers. As others said welcome by the owner was outstanding. The room we stayed in was large with floor to ceiling closets, all new. Bathroom was excellent. The favorite was the balcony and breakfast with a view. We were very happy with our stay and recommend this hotel highly.

Easy to get around, lovely beach, lots of beautiful places to eat. We stayed for 4 days and it was a perfect amount of time as we didn't plan any day trips. Bolt taxi - an excellent service and we would highly recommend the Wyndham Hotel.

Beautiful town and surrounding areas. Plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. If you get fed up with those then Portimau is only around the corner. Have to recommend the Fisherman's Rest for seafood if that's your thing - in the hub of it all but very traditional and very reasonably priced.
The beaches are ridiculously beautiful in the area. Very very well maintained and not over-crowded. Uber are cheap all over the area and the longest we waited for one was 5 mins.
The people in the entire region are also very very courteous and generous. Well worth a visit.

Been visiting Alvor for yrs. This trip was the third this year. Alvor not for the party animal. But some great nights to be had. Walking along boardwalk and other pathways a must. The people are delightful, always smiling. Plenty of taxis to be had. For people with mobility issues Alvor might prove a challenge due to streets being steep,uneven footpaths that are also narrow. You will be spolt for choice regards restaurants,bars,entertainment and all the fish dishes you would like.

We have been coming to Alvor since 2016 and stayed over 10...
We have been coming to Alvor since 2016 and stayed over 10 times; sometimes twice a year July and September. Obviously the fantastic beach and great swimming in Atlantic ocean is the main attraction, with great weather. Then it is the fantastic restaurants. Just about any place that grills fish and meat is very good and not expensive and offer fantastic value for money. The Indian restaurants are also excellent. The town has one street that is very busy with pubs, clubs and entertainment so it is available if you want to be busy or you can enjoy nice restaurants and quite bars.

Location is 5 minutes by taxi from Alvor centre or 20 minutes via the lovely boardwalk. Quiet location by the sea really adds to the property, slightly removed from the hustle and bustle.
Simple hotel, does what it says on the tin and has a bit of everything - Breakfast great, gym simple but good, indoor pool with sauna, outdoor pool with plenty of deck chairs, small kids club also.
Hotel was undergoing some routine maintenance as they prepare for summer and this was to be expected.

the hotel is a low raise building nearly on the beach, just a short work along the boardwalk, breakfast is more suited for Europeans than British however all was good. very good for families as there's a few pools with loungers
the village is approx 20 minutes away on foot, 5 minute taxi ride.

People in location are friendly as most Portuguese are but there is not a lot to see except you are going to stay on the beach and have place to sleep. Alvor compare to other Algarve cities is not very attractive and you need to go to other places.
