Appreciate the kindness and professionalism of all staff and especially of Erica (front desk) on the flexibility with our reservation. Dinner is on the high end in terms of quality and appearance - local products at the level of fine dining. Appreciate the wine tasting offered to guest and the dedication of staff to explain the different wine grapes and types. Advise to try the LBV port produced in loco!

The Quinta de Sao Luiz, where we were staying, made a reservation for us at a restaurant in Tabuaco. The drive to the restaurant was challenging due to the serpentine road and rainy weather. I don't think there was much to do in that small town, but we had an okay experience at the restaurant.

The trip to the Quinta was through some wonderful rambling winding roads in the Douro valley. There are many places to visit there, and although we thought the location was perfect, some might like a location closer to town and not so far from Porto.

Wonderful location with a clean spacious hotel and great staff. Pool was a good size too.
The evening meal is totally underplayed. “A meal can be arranged” had me thinking that it would be chicken nuggets heated up. But this was a pre booked gourmet meal by a great chef. They also added wine parings. Excellent food! Breakfast was generous with lots of choice.

We stayed at the 3-bedroom house in Tavora for a week at the end of July. 4 km from Tabuaco. A very quiet and picturesque place. AC in every room. Tavora is a small village where youc an only get coffee and beer, but nearby Tabuaco has swimming pool, restaurants, cafes, supermarket, EV charger, ATM's. 30 minutes drive to Vilar dam (Barragem do Vilar).

The property was well equipped and very clean. It was within walking distance to shops and pharmacy. The locals were very friendly and the area itself was stunning. It was only a 20min drive to Pinhão, where we went kayaking along the Douro. Tania was an excellent host and we’d love to come and stay again!

Breakfast are okay but no surprise. The room is comfortable and we forgot to close window so there were a a bunch of bugs flying in our room. Fortunately, there is still the last vacant room that day, and the hotel also quickly changed the room for us.

A charming hotel in a picturesque town in the middle of the Douro Valley. It was a pleasure to meet a charming hostess who made every effort to help us and make our stay enjoyable, despite not speaking English.
