The location is great, the view in our balcony was superb! Indeed, the carpet is old, the bathroom is basic, but we had hot water & heating. Before you guys, give little stars to this hotel, think that the other 4 stars hotels are much more expensive. The area itself is expensive.

This was probably the best stay I have had on this website. The house, the location and most importantly the hosts exceeded our expectations. Everything is clean, comfy, convenient and in beautiful natural surroundings. Corina and her mother are wonderful and super friendly and welcoming. We even got fresh milk from the cows, duck and turkey eggs in the morning. It's amazing and my family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a lovely stay at Casa David for 4 nights and our stay was very comfortable thanks to the super friendly and helpful host. The host did her best to make us feel welcome, always responsive when we’d need help with sight seeing recommendations, restaurants, leasure. We were welcomed with baked goods, such a lovely gesture, which was greatly appreciated by our party after a long road. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and baking. The house is fully equipped to entertain kids as small as one, our baby boy had a full baby proof kitchen to discover and various toys to play with. The rooms were clean and tidy. Our stay was lovely, especially because of the lake view. We would enjoy our morning coffee looking at it from the terrace. We recommend the property to families with children, to kids free parties.

Perfect for a 3 days escape, we always make this 3 hours car trip to Durau to relax, as a getaway from the city, it is like a tradition. You have everything in place, always availabilities for room booking, great view and sightseeing, good place to eat, a whole day can be spent outside! You won't feel time passing by! Try it!

Durau is a good location for tourists who come to go hiking...

Durau is a good location for tourists who come to go hiking on the mountain trails on Mount Ceahlău. Accommodation in the area is very expensive compared to the services offered. The services offered by hoteliers and other service providers are disappointing compared to the price charged. uCompared to Vatea Dornei where the services are at least 2 times better than in Durău. I say this because I was two days after Durau in Vatra Dornei (Bucovina).

We didn't plan to go here specifically but once we got there...

We didn't plan to go here specifically but once we got there we booked the hotel room for another night. We had an exciting yet terrifying walk to the waterfall . The mountains are amazing and the air is just what the doctor prescribed. Plus as a resort,it had everything: entertainment, great food and even a couple of stores to buy essentials. I honestly wish we could have stayed longer but we had to get to our destination. If I was to have a short holiday there once a few months ,than life would be easier.

You can start a hike in Ceahlau.

You can start a hike in Ceahlau. There are lots of trails that can be used (well-marked trails, well indicated, accessible to everyone, a bit too accessible). You can practise other sports like ski, biking, climbing. Next to the ski slope (left side) is an Adventure Park. Be aware of bears! :-) You can access the area from Bicaz - Izvorul Muntelui, Targu Neamt, Toplita - Borsec, Vatra Dornei. Except for the mountains, you can visit the remnants of a palace (Palatul Cnejilor), Durau monastery, the huge Izvorul Muntelui lake, wildlife, good food (in Durau or around, I recommend Orizont restaurant in Farcasa). There is a lot to say. Two things I don't like in Durau: the buggies (they destroy the trails) and the lack of investments.

The main reason for me it was to have a place for two nights for trekking and hiking ti Virful Toaca. Otherwise I don't know what it possible to do in Durau))) Oк if you are practise ski , I have seen there also ski slop

The only advantage, unfortunately, is the location near the Durau park/side. In front of the guesthouse there is no parking dedicated directly to its guests, but it is a shared territory with 2 other hotels and I assume that in high season it can be difficult to find a parking space.

The territory is beautiful and well-kept, beautiful nature around. The hotel has a shared kitchen, you can cook. Coffee from the machine for 4 lei. Large parking. In the room for 250 lei everything is high quality.
