But more than this, the kindness of our host Aleksandra was absolutely amazing. My friends and I were on a motorcycle trip and made the reservation in the last minute, and she quickly arrived, helped us settle, and then in the morning helped us find a great breakfast place. She even surprised us with a gift, tied up with a ribbon and accompanied with a hand written note. We would gladly come back again. Thank you, Aleksandra!

We were in the summer spring, but we cooled down in the very beautiful Tabanovačka lake (locals call it Shljunkara) and the next day on the unusually clean Sava. Ate great food in several restaurants in the center, toured the fortress and the pedestrian zone. A lovely city, with the potential to be fantastic. Because of the heat, we skipped museums and other cultural facilities, but there are some. Another nice stop in our introduction to the homeland.

People are wonderful. Communicative and kind. The city is beautiful, peaceful, family friendly, tucked away. Many parts are beautifully arranged. Restaurants and cafes are pleasant to say the least, and there are wonderful places that can be placed side by side with the restaurants of Paris and Prague, like Stellina. All the warmest recommendations. ♥️♥️♥️

A quiet town with a traffic-free center.
A quiet town with a traffic-free center. You can walk around without being disturbed by cars. A country that has inherited a Soviet mentality, which still influences it today, but one can see a shift in mentality toward a European one. It will take a long time, but the process has begun.

The city center, the beach on the Sava. Nice places for walking, sightseeing, sitting and shopping. We were on a tour with a guide a few years ago, so we already knew a lot about history and sights.

Everyone smoked everywhere, even in restaurants. People were constantly talking on their phones or texting, even in restaurants. Most restaurants played annoyingly loud music. Many dilapidated and abandoned houses were littered everywhere.
