I loved the fact that was in a ship and was so well equipped and all the facilities were there accessible to everyone! You had free cookies and tea/coffee and water 24/7 and the hotel staff were super super nice! We we’re leaving very early in the morning and they made us very rich breakfast bags 😊 totally recommend it!

    Gothenburg is a very lovely city in the western coast of Sweden, the second largest city in Sweden after Stockholm. The living style in this city is very relaxing, not too crowded or large like Stockholm, but the facilities in the city are very extraordinary. The historic buildings in the city are very lovely, the transportation system is very organized, and the city is very safe.

    Gothenburg is a very nice travel destination for families!

    Gothenburg is a very nice travel destination for families! We loved Alfons Åbergs Kulturhus, which is an interactive museum (for kids under 7, I would say). In Universeum, there are cool science exhibits, an aquarium and a terrarium, a rainforest to explore, and much more (all ages!). The botanical garden is perfect for picnics and strolls. There are many well-maintained playgrounds throughout the city. You can also take a boat ride through the canals or along the coast. Gothenburg is pretty clean, walkable, and welcoming.

    Gothenburg is very accommodating and friendly people too! Everyone was nice to us and it made a huge impact to our stay during the Gothia Youth Cup tournament 2025. I will recommend Sweden as an holiday destination 💯 %

    It depends on your expactations.

    It depends on your expactations. It is a big busy city and it feels just like that. The trams and busses are always there. There are a lot of shops but is that really how you want to spend your time all of the time? When i was there the renovations where always there on every corner of the street. No idea how long they are going to take but i would wait another year. Go to Copenhagen instead. Or Malmo.

    The best thing was the boat tour around the islands.

    The best thing was the boat tour around the islands. I warmly recommend it. Take away food is very convenient and saves money. City center offers nice architecture, althought nothing spectacular. Nice to come and see, though. I recommend 2-3 days in Gothenburg, at maximum.

    For me Gothenburg is a city that lacks Swedish identity.

    For me Gothenburg is a city that lacks Swedish identity. It was hard to find genuine Swedish restaurants / pubs in addition to there being not much history on show (despite a rich history based on what is on show in the city museum). There is still plenty to do in terms off attractions but alot of these can be done in any city. Worth passing through for a couple of days if going somewhere else but not worth a trip specifically to the city.

    The area is quite, near everything you need as a tourist. Live and stay Ekmanska is so clean, perfect and beautifully decorated. Someone put alot of love and class in this place. Kitchen and bathroom was clean. Bed was comfy. This is the cleanest hotel apartment we have ever stayed in. There is no personale to meet you, and it does not matter, because everything is perfect. I know it is a new place, I hope they keep the standard, because this is a 5 star. 100 pct better than staying in a hotel. I am coming back!

    This is the most beautiful hotel in Sweden. I love everything about it. The staff are super helpful, always kind and welcoming. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very beautiful. Loads of beautiful and interesting art. The dining room is like a movie set. The food is perfect and not to expensive. I’ll be back.
