CanadaThis hotel has good standard to stay. It is worth staying there. They have 24 hour reception. So, checking in/checking out is not a problem. Good breakfast. Professional staff. WiFi is OK. The hotel is at the railroad and bus stations, but also at the Old town. I recommend staying there. You will not be disappointed

We've only had a few hours in Maribor, like 8-10 hours, but I wish we stayed maybe a day. We managed to stroll a bit within the old town, went to the Piramida Hill and visited the castle and the Basilica of Our Mother of Mercy church. This city has more to offer and I wish we had more time. We've had dinner at GALA ŽAR, which is a small traditional Slovenian restaurant, The staff there was friendly, but their english was not very good. The only thing that was a bummer for me was that I arrived on Sunday and most of the shops, cafes and restaurants were closed by 8. Small city with good wine, coffee and food.
Small city with good wine, coffee and food. Prices are low compared to western europe but higher than the rest of the slavic world. There's not a huge amount to do but it's well-connected to Ljubljana and the Austrian border. Would recommend coming here in the summer-time. There are also fewer hostel options for those backpacking, the market is more geared towards hotel stays.
