Nice, serene small town located in a nature park, with several walking trails and interesting sights. Not too many beaches, but there are a couple of acceptably good ones. No nightlife; limited dining and shopping options. Excellent for quiet relaxation.

Strunjan is a quiet small resort with a few places to eat and drink. It can get very busy in the summer. There are good walks nearby.
For those who want a lot of facilities, bars etc it is not a good choice.
Out of season is great for those who want peace and relative quiet.

The nice saltpans with a small museum in the middle, both sides of the bay, have hotels for budget guests or one that required a little higher standards. There are many marked paths to hike around or just plain walk. Strunjan bay is not a village but it lies between Izola and Piran. At the beginning of the bay, there is a bus station and mini market and at the end, there are many restaurants and a beach with some trees and grass to give shadow and a place to rest. In nice weather, you will really enjoy it.

Strunjan is one of my favorit sea shore in any season.
Strunjan is one of my favorit sea shore in any season. Picturesque, green and reach meditteranian vegetation, fish and mushels, local vines and olive oil. Town of Piran and Izola are just a walk far. Plenty of local Inn with good food.

Strunjan is close to Piran, Portoroz and Isola- long walks but we like it. Nice outdoor pool next to a stoney beach. A lot of green space beneath the trees. The apartment was clean, equipped with all necessary kitchen things (fridge, microwave oven, dishes, pots etc.) Towels were changed every 2 days. Very efficient air condition, sharp knifes :)
In summary: despite some minuses we enjoyed our stay in Salinera hotel.

We loved staying at this hotel. It is great value for the price. We were pleasently surprised with the selection of food for breakfast. Plus the waiter at the bar was super nice when he handled we got different side dish for dinner that had to be done from scratch. We would definitely choose this hotel in the future again.

We loved this appartment with the view from the terrace and all the nice places around in Strunjan and Piran.
It is a perfect place to go for a walk, go swimming or taking the bike for some trips.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
We would always come back.

Lovely, quiet place with a beautiful view of the sea and the mountains, the hotel is clean, staff members are helpful and kind.
Breakfast was perfect for us, delicious and lots of variety of foods, sweets and fruits.

Nice and comfortable hotel at the sea even in wintertime. I loved the view and the huge windows facing the water. The staff was polite and professional, and wide selection of food for breakfast.
