I hadn't so much time for sightsing but there is really nice...
I hadn't so much time for sightsing but there is really nice castle in the center. Just few meters from the castle there is a restaurant. Small but looking good but without booking table no possible to eat there.
We had some issue to find a restaurant in the evening. Lot of them are open till 16:00 however if someone wants to find a cafe/bar etc there will be no any issue with this.
I can fully recommend restaurant "Ristorante Moretti"

Historic sites in town but not well presented - most buildings in the castle complex could only be viewed from outside.
Unable to find a good place to eat - no-one (including tourist information staff) able to think of a restaurant offering "Slovak' cuisine!

Nitra is a pleasant town, situated an hour bus ride away...
Nitra is a pleasant town, situated an hour bus ride away from the Slovak capital Bratislava. Nitra is important for Slovaks because of its history, Christian (sacral) architecture and of course, agricultural studies and trade fairs.
I was surprised to also see a Synagogue, which is in a very good condition. It has a unique Moorish and Art Nouveau style.
I recommend also a walk up the small hill to see the Calvary and enjoy the view at the whole Nitra.
There is a lovely vegan and vegetarian place (open only 11.00-14.00) in the Nitra centre on the Farska street, I ate their main course as well as falafels, delicious! Last but not least, it's good to go for a walk next to the nitra river, it's pleasant

Nice little town with beautiful surroundings that certainly has a lot to offer. Very nice and helpful people who seemed to be in a very good mood. Didn't have time to do much sightseeing because I was participating in a dance competition but would definitely consider traveling in the area again.

Nitra is a beautiful, historic city that I know well, I spent my childhood there. But now we were at a post-graduation meeting after 50 years. I recommend visiting the city as such, next to the accommodation there is a nice park and Nitra Castle, the excellent Andrej Bagar Theater. I wish all visitors a nice stay. Miro

Hotel will try to cheat double price.
I payed through booking.com. When I check-in, I told pay again. Because payment through booking.com is deposit for reservation.
So I payed again. After then, I checked terms and found payed double.
I asked pay back twice. They told me cancel at booking.com then refund.
I requested to cancel, but no responce this two days...

The breakfast was good, but it ended too early on Sunday. In other hotels it is available until 12 p.m., but since the breakfast area also appears to be used as the restaurant, extending the time might not be possible.
The room was quiet, comfortable, and spacious enough. Parking was conveniently located close to the rooms.

It is located in very nice part of Nitra, just below the Zobor hill, but at the same time in walking distance from the city center. The shopping mall is about 10 minutes walk from here. Rooms are very well equiped, clean. In the bulding hosts can use the restaurant and wellness. Staff is nice and friendly.

Clean and good hotel in Nitra and easy to reach by car. There is hotel parking area free of charge where was enough places during our stay. Everything is on walking distance so location is good. Our room was on upper floor so there was quiet and no noise from the outside.

A really lovely hotel with stylish reception rooms and very helpful staff. We were looked after very well in every respect. Breakfast was very good. The location was superbly placed to access the Upper Town and the pedestrianised area. Highly recommend 😊👍
