- close to a possibility to rent a scooter
- owners responded always very quick
- it's quiet (AC has a sleep mode so its not too loud), comfortable bed, close to thw main pier (ao nid)

United KingdomThe location is unreal! It’s totally away from the huddle and bustle, perfect for us and wanting to be in a tranquil escape. It was so peaceful listening to the waves and birds at night and mornings. It’s a small complex so always plenty of deck chairs and places to sit and not many guests. Feels like a prefect private place to have a break. The owners are so passionate about giving you a perfect stay. They collected us from the pier and dropped us off. When we arrived we had a fresh coconut and mango sticky rice. Our room was very large, great working new air con too. Shower was powerful and hot. They went above and beyond more times than we could count we extended our stay once there as it was so perfect. From free coffee, breakfast, free kayaks, they arranged scooters for us and helmets too, advised us places to go. It was just so perfect! We will definitely be back. After all that and more they even gave us a small gift as we left. Thank you

Beautiful island, very chill seclude, not too much touristic, but has everything you need. Cute cafes, a lot of amazing restaurants, quiet and pristine beaches.
You can also take a boat to Koh Kham, it’s beautiful! Very easy, ticket only 350 baht.

Variety of good eating places
Koh Mak seafood being one of them.
It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring.
The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can.
There are some very picturesque beaches and bars.
Also a variety of takes on food
By the sea has great sandwiches etc.
If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue.
However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows.

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Much lusher and more tourist-friendly than I expected. Though it's a small island, there's enough there to explore more than we could in 3 nights. And it is the ideal launching site to visit the famous diving and snorkeling sites around Koh Rang island. Five nights would be adequate, unless you're a snorkeling/diving addict, then maybe more.

Very small island which is still kind of rural and not very touristy. That also means that there are not many amenities or fun things you can do. Accommodations are more basic, food or bar options are limited, and you've seen all of the island in a few hours. But you can also have a perfect chill time without any noisy tourist crowds or big loud party areas. Beaches are great. If you want more action, just take the ferry to Ko Chang (once a day).

No help alone no one on duty. No food stranded as too dark at night to venture out.still recovering from over 300 hundred bites some bed bugs & sandflys.
The horror of cockroaches bed bugs centipedes etc Dark garden trying to get dinner Two dog attacks.
Booking . Com were no help with the airline change time of plane . I paid new flight & 3 hours £30 phone calls.Or my plea not the room I booked.

Nice quiet island but very expensive compared to other places in Thailand. There's only a couple roads easy to explore the whole island in one day. Just make sure to bring a lot of bug spray the sand flies and mosquitoes eat humans all the time- thai or foreigner- best resort hands is seavana

Although a bit apart from other resorts and shops, the hotel is situated in a beautiful position with tremendous views.
The rooms are modern, well equipped and very clean. The restaurant was good, the complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea were very good.
The staff were very helpful and attentive, although there were some communication difficulties at times.
The swimming pool and surrounding areas are lovely, but the beach and sea are almost out of bounds due to sandflies and sea urchins.
I have great memories of this place.

I had a wonderful stay at Seavana. The hotel arranged a pick up service at the pier which made the whole trip so much easier. The resort is located at a secluded beach, if you want some peace and quiet this is definitely the resort for you. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Facilities are great, infinity pool is stunning, clean and comfortable rooms, and great restaurant with a wide array of choices. Loved every single part of the resort!

This resort was one of the best we had during our holiday in the Thai islands. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the the leisure area was just what we needed. The restaurant has been surprisingly good and the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful (our special thanks to Mouy, Nat and GoGo). Also the fact that the hotel has it's own motorbike rent service is a big plus.

We had 10 nights here, upgraded on our first night to the best villa (as we were fussy about being next to the large green pond). Relaxed in a four poster bed, with a sea view.- perfect! Complex very clean and tidy. Best bits were the pool, views and the staff in the bar at the end of the jetty. A moped is a must to appreciate life on Koh Mac. Best island so far on our trip.

Great Hotel! Noi and her staff were so kind and accommodating. We came with our 1 year old, and the staff eagerly helped lend a hand with her. Location not on the beach, but it's a 5 min walk. Or you can rent a scooter and get anywhere on the island in under 10 mins. Rooms were new, very clean, and sufficient for our needs. Would definitely return again.
