FranceWe booked for 2 nights. We wanted some place quite and peaceful and it was perfect. For these prices, the room and the cleanness was more than good. Extra plus for the pool which was almost always empty so we had a great time (we booked in low season). The staff is super nice and always helpful.
You can book a taxi, apply for muay thai boxing classes or rent a motor bike by the reception. In front of the hotel is the principal road and after the road you have a direct access to the beach. It’s small but more than enough to go for an afternoon swim.
It’s 35min (ap. 500BHT) to go see the Big Buddha by Grab. 7-11 is right in front of the door, and some small restaurants w good prices.
Very simple but very good stay.

The resort was fantastic!
The resort was fantastic! The individual villas were great as it didn't feel like a hotel. These gave a more relaxed atmosphere to the resort. The pool was very pretty. The restaurant was spacious and the service efficient along with the delicious food and wine.

We stayed over on Ban Tai, which was quieter with a beautiful sandy beach, almost no one around. I got a massage by the water with only the sound of the crashing waves which was the highlight on my trip. Great for families and good food all around.

Love the coastal areas & the variety of beaches in Mae Nam as well as the differing local food cultures. I especially liked the relaxed beach at Baan Fah Resort where the water was deep enough to swim just a short distance from the shore - a truly great beach. The best coffee house in Samui has to be Hachiya Coffee Roastery. And I highly recommend G- Bike Rentals.

Depending on where you stay you may need a scooter to get around or taxi's. Which are reasonably priced. With the heat and UV we found walking nearby was a chore at certain times of the day. Once we hired the scooter we could explore the whole island. Its great if most of your trip is for swimming and relaxing around the pool. As with most of the island it really doesn't get going until later in the afternoon. Its also cooler. Markets are great to visit. Restaurants and bars are excellent and service as well. The people are kind and courteous.

Mae Nam doesn’t have the best beach, and is a busy area. We have been to several areas of Thailand, and we found Koh Samui in general to be very busy and not that well maintained considering it is such a popular tourist island. There is no doubt that Fisherman’s Village is a very popular town, but it is very touristy and lacks the relaxed Thai experience that we are looking for.

If you are planning to go to Koh Tao or Koh Phangan, this bungalow is very close to the pier, only 5 min walk. I had a late flight to Koh Samui so I prefered to stay as close as possible to the pier for the early morning boat ride. The room was clean, I had a good sleep. The room is basic but covers all your need. Shower had hot water.

The hotel delivers what it promises - a wonderful “cozy” place to be at Koh Samui. A small, fine hotel with absolutely friendly and attentive staff, a wonderfully quiet beach and excellent food. We couldn't have found a better place for us!

Great location on a laid back beach, spacious rooms, that are clean and new. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again if I visited Koh Samui again.
