Avatar Railay, hotel in Railay Beach

Offering an outdoor pool and sun terrace, Avatar Railay is set in Railay Beach, Krabi. It is only 900 metres from Phra Nang Cave.

We loved everything about Avatar Railay! From the wonderful Ms. Poo at the reception who saw to our every need and went out of her way for us in more ways than one, to the cheerful staff, gorgeous large rooms, beautiful pool, all the greenery ❤️ this place has our hearts! We came here years ago for the live music and again, it was fantastic and we had the time of our lives with the live, talented two-piece band! The location is close to the pier and walking street and fantastic! In addition, the beautiful Diamond Cave is right on the island. Possibly the most peaceful and happening place to be ❤️Can't wait to come back here 😁! Thank you for everything!

Rayavadee- SHA Extra Plus, hotel in Railay Beach

Luxurious beachfront accommodation along Krabi's Andaman Coast is provided at the 5-star Rayavadee- SHA Extra Plus, just next to Krabi Marine National Park.

What not to like, can't fault this resort, Amazing staff, can't help you enough. Amazing facilities, lots of activities daily or you can book some also. Amazing accommodation. Houses are unreal, I could live in one and be happy, god send when it rains having a living room to chillax, don't get me started on the beds, pillows are like marshmallows. Breakfast is superb, best I've ever had and huge choice, all quality food and drinks. Food is exceptional in all resort restaurants, sunset at the beach restaurant is perfect. Beautiful beaches, on all sides and close to other islands if you want to explore. Monkeys, big lizards, snorkeling, I loved this place. (Maya bay only 45mins away) Plenty places to eat outside the resort along the beach if you want to explore. It may be 2/3x the price of the other hotels, but when you stay here you will soon forget that and realise why.

Gorgeous location, absolutely stunning natural cliffs, rocky island outcroppings, warm aquamarine water. An old style beach town that is rare to find these days. Great diversity of restaurants, (the Indian food place was one of the best anywhere) cafes (mango sticky rice!), and local shops along 'walking street', fabulous to just lay on the beach, but hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving schools/rental equipment/excursions, are available for the more adventurous. A little difficult to get to (long tail or speedboat only) - which keeps it remote, peaceful and relaxed - no ridiculous night life, family friendly, local, easy going, picturesque peninsula on the Andaman Sea. We booked a group boat tour around PhiPhi islands - boat was delayed, then broke down in the middle of the Sea, luckily a passing boat provided a 'spare' propellor!!! PhiPhi island visit was just a lunch stop, and basically a huge cafeteria line with spaghetti and fried chicken, ugh. Snorkeling, boat diving, cave hiking, discovering empty beach coves along the way though, were all incredible. Visiting "The Beach" lagoon was picturesque, but incredibly overcrowded - no wonder they don't allow swimming in the lagoon. Toilet facilities on PhiPhi and The Beach were best left unvisited, unless absolutely necessary. The tour was 8/10, but the adventure of it all was 11/10. Railay is well worth a 3-4 day stay, some of our neighbors were staying 2weeks and longer over the new year's holiday. It's an absolutely beautiful, relatively undeveloped resort area, with great food, spectacular beach life, stunning views, and friendly and welcoming local people

Fantastic staff in every area, room is spacious, beautiful and clean with a nice balcony. Food is delicious from room service and very quick. Love the location of resort ( check in is at east railway beach but our room was close to west Railay which they gave us a ride to- very much appreciated)

This is not for anyone travelling with a disability.

This is not for anyone travelling with a disability. Depending on the tide , will depend on where you are dropped off. The long tail drivers did not help at all getting off the boat or with luggage.Had we been at the other Quay life would have been easy. There was no one there to greet us and our hotel was on the other side of the island a long way to drag luggage.. This is a young person's resort the smell of weed is all over the island. The THAI people don't have the same attitude as elsewhere as they have a monopoly.

The longer you stay, the more you discover.

The longer you stay, the more you discover. Railay has a few hidden gems that are worth exploring. We discovered a few favourite spots for dinner, both in the walking street as well as in Railay East. The sunset on Railey West or the Phra Nang beach are breathtaking. We recommend hiking up to the viewpoint, and if you are brave climb down to the lagoon. We also enjoyed renting a kayak during the day, and do a night tour to see the bio-luminescent plankton. Worth noting: If you book a tour on Railay East, it is often quite a bit cheaper, and priced for backpackers who stay on this side of Railay. The tours themselves are typically of the same quality. The most buzz happens in the walking street between East and West Railay and on the West beach.

The property was gorgeous and quiet. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was exceptional. The pool was great too. The only downside was the beach itself - rough sand, not as beautiful as the other side of the island. So the hotel itseld was absolutely wonderful but the beach was not.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited! We stayed for four nights and four days. I think without excursions, any longer would be too long but it truly is a getaway. One day we did the lagoon viewpoint hike and for avid nature fans and hikers, I would recommend this! It's a steep incline/scramble to get there, but the route provides you with ropes to pull yourself up. The viewpoint is stunning and when we hiked up this, wild monkeys climbed around us which was just an amazing experience. We did an island tour excursion where we visited the local island beaches during the evening and watched the sunset from one of the islands! This tour was one of the better ones we did whilst in Thailand. We explored each island on a longtail boat, which I would recommend, and we went snorkelling to see the beautiful aquatic life that surrounded the islands. We even snorkelled at night to see the luminescent plankton! There's an amazing bar/restaurant on the island called the treetop bar. The bar has the coolest atmosphere. Shoes off, beanbags, and live music! Very chilled atmosphere with a local singer who was great. I would visit here again in a heartbeat. A travellers paradise - would recommend.

After reading many reviews and some negatives we chose to go here we came from a week in the Marriott hotel Phuket and ca say we made the right choice at diamond resort big rooms Wi-Fi fine pool has a soft white rubber liner which makes it soft to walk on nice setting front office staff all great and helpful. If you want your room cleaned it’s not automatic you put your key in a small basket in reception and then they know you want a clean , pool towels are in reception as extra waters and toilet paper which are both free .

We had a wonderful stay! This property is a little out of the way in East Railay Beach, making it the perfect place to retreat to and relax. Set slightly up on a hill, the views are beautiful and the grounds are nicely landscaped. Our garden cottage was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was great, with a wide range of Thai and Western options. The staff were all kind and welcoming. The pool was very nice and we especially enjoyed it in the late evening. We wished we had been able to stay longer and would definitely return!

The property was beautiful and well maintained, the rooms were very unique and we had an amazing view out over the bay. The pool was gorgeous overlooking the bay as well. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is family friendly which is nice to see with a luxury resort! When you see pictures and videos of Thailand resorts, this is usually the type of resort you're seeing! There are monkey families all around, lizards and birds. The restaurant is overlooking the ocean. Its really beautiful!

Slipping in the middle of the nature is a favor hard to find in Krabi or Railay; although this hotel is offering that. The presence of birds, monkeys from time to time is fascinating. But there is a price for that: few steps every day to get in your room and no AC, as the houses are traditionally made of wood. If you balance the advantage of a beautiful sun rise, sunset and Phra Nang Beach with the fan in the room, it's OK. And surprisingly, no mosquitoes at all...

We absolutely loved the location, the beach is stunning! You can enjoy pretty impresive sunsets here Hotel is great, we stayed in bungalows with private spa - although we never used the spa. The bungalows are spacious, beds were comfortable. Staff is nice. The location might be little tricky if you want to be exploring Krabi as you can access Railay beach on long tail boat only. We stayed here only for 3 days before moving on so we didnt mind.

There are a lot of hotels to choose in Railay Beach, and the reviews are quite varied. The hotel is quiet and the grounds are lush and well tended. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection. The staff were friendly, and arranged a pick up from Krabi Airport, which took all the hassle out of the transfer. The room was a good size, clean and had nice views.

After 2 nights and having brown water on the third morning we asked for a different room. We were given (and to the staffs credit without any fuss) an alternative bungalow which was bigger, brighter, newer and basically good except it was at the Railay beach east end while the place you wanted to be was the west end. However, as far scoring 200% better.
