The cable car or Teleferik as well as Damlatas cave were our favorite places to visit as well as Kahve Dunesi, a small coffee restaurant in the middle of Cleopatra's beach. A park with gymnastic equipment and a very informative program for children, a long walking area along the entire Cleopatra beach. A very interesting place is the Marina next to the Red Tower, where it is also very nice to walk. Alanya is an ideal place for a perfect vacation at the sea. In my opinion, the ideal time to stay in Alanya is the end of September and the first half of October.

A very walkable city - the only time in 3 days i used...
A very walkable city - the only time in 3 days i used transport was a taxi from my hotel to the bus station (which wasn't too far as well) + Teleferik and tour boat.
There's a lot of entertainment to choose from! I took a pirate boat ride (including lunch and 4-5 stops to swim in open sea), explored the Archaeological Museum, swam and sunbathed at Kleopatra Beach, visited Damlatas Cave, ascended the hill by Teleferik, strolled the Alanya Castle complex, experienced the most scenic sunset on my way downhill, had a delicious dinner at Fiaba Brasserie, and was back at the hotel by 21:00. All in one day! It might have been the best day of my entire vacation.
Where did i eat: Ömeroğlu (10/10 beef Turkish delight is to die for), Ev Restaurant (not bad, grilled calamari and hookah were nice enough, the cocktail was delicious) and the aforementioned Fiaba Brasserie (the food there is very tasty, but it's very very dark inside in the evening).

Alanya is beautiful.
Alanya is beautiful. Cleopatra Beach is beautiful with its nice waves and warm water. It is safe and affordable.
Here are some travel tips:
For dinner go to Cafe Local, and small family own spots.
Don’t go to the big restaurants they cost too much, and the food isn’t all that great. I was disappointed.
For excursions, go to Suluada Island, go to the 3 in 1 Sapadere water falls and cave trip. The water fights were surprisingly fun, also spend a morning riding the teleferik to the castle. Best of all, spend as much time as possible at Cleopatra Beach.
Getting around Alanya was easy. We walked. Everything is within walking distance.

My disastrous stay at White Gold Hotel&Spa ruined all my desire to explore and enjoy Alanya more. Sorry, but I’ll never be back.
Only I can say, avoid this hotel!
Other bad experience happened when I had booked the trip to Pamukkale.
Guide kicked me of the bus, because it was pure Russian speaking tour and I was the only English speaking and allegedly, the guide didn’t speak English! Weird for the tourist guide, hm?
I don’t feel welcomed and don’t care about Alanya and Turkey!

Alanya is beautiful but has too much traffic. The restaurants in town are more expensive than nearby towns/villages. It is worth a trip to the castle and if you like boat trips there is plenty of choice.

Alanya offers such a vast variety of activities for visitors - the Castle for history lovers, boat trips for kids and families, beach swimming and walks and an incredible selection of restaurants.
We LOVED hiking to the castle and going into the museum, a sunset walk on the beach. We also went for a morning swim at Kleopatra Beach which was magical.

Frankly, the hotel far exceeded my expectations. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The availability of dozens of TV channels from many countries was a big plus. The coffeemaker and microwave weren't in the room when we arrived, but Yasin at the front desk immediately sent them to our room when we requested them. This is an ideal apartment for families with children. He was very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is fantastic. The best apartment in Alanya.

We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights - all inclusive. Very good location - hotel right on the beach and approx. 20min. walk to the city center.
Sunbed and umbrella free of charge.
Helpful and friendly staff - especially the chef Mehmet and the young receptionist. Every evening a program until 11pm. Pretty good selection of food, but small choice of fruits. (No bananas, kiwis, avocados,papaya’s ….) Amount of bottled water every day.

This is my really home. I felt myself delicious and friendly. Next time will visit only this hotel. I was Turkey first time and say to Vera on reception to be so kindly as now and much wishes for her family and every one in Alaniya. It is not really magic place where your dreams becomes reality. We visited the hotel in Alanya for our summer holiday and were blown away by the location direct access to a private beach with crystal-clear water. The sunbeds were never crowded, and there was always staff nearby to take drink orders. Amazing relaxation.
