A unique combination of the beautiful Turkish sea and unparalleled food options. For a town with a resident population of about 3,000 it has over 350 restaurants and bars, with many reaching a very high standard of cuisine. The roof terrace restaurants are superb and a repeatable experience.The beach club options cater for all tastes. There are plenty of things to do from boat trips to visits to the local heritage sites and a large variety of shopping. Locals are very welcoming.

Kalkan is a beautiful place but having been a few times I wont rush to go back. Nothing to do with the wonderful setting but more to do with the ridiculous noise coming from a few of the bars at night. Don't get me wrong if you are young and into bars where you need sign language to talk this could be the place for you. But later at night I like to chill but no matter where you went in town all you could hear was the noise battle between 2 bars cranked to volume 11 which drowned every bar near by. We have been to the Mediterran Hotel three times now, so clearly we love it and would recommend it to anyone. Generally, I would say it’s a couples and groups hotel, not much for kids. It’s a fair way out of the main town which is nice, but for a couple of quid you can get a taxi into the centre or the port. The taxis are plentiful and you never have to wait more than a few minutes for one. The people are all very friendly and not too pushy when trying to get you to enter their restaurants. There are plenty of shops, where you can buy amazing fake clothing, most of which is of a reasonable quality, excellent, if you take into account you can by labelled trainers for £15-20! There are plenty of food and grocery shops if you are self-catering. In addition to having stayed at the Mediteran we have rent villas in Kalkan for family holidays. There is also a good market with food and clothing. Kalkan has provided us with many great holidays.PaulUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Kalkan was was a really nice resort. Plenty to do but not too busy. There were plenty of great places to eat and the old town with its narrow cobbled streets were lovely to walk around. Our balcony had sea view, which offered beautiful sights of Kalamar bay. The area ia peaceful, not so steep immediate surroundings compared to the rest of Kalkan. The hotel offers privacy, but also some shared areas like the pool. There's parking place in front of the hotel. Great breakfast, excellent cleaning service daily. Very romantic and relaxing area to stay and visit Kalkan and surrounding areas. This hotel is a gem, and with a few changes and a hotel manger actively involved on a daily basis, could be one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in.

We would recommend to anyone and would definitely advise staying in the Old Town. It’s a perfect location for bars, restaurants and beach clubs, so we didn’t miss having a pool. We can’t wait to see you all again when we visit in August.

The location of the hotel is very good, right by the sea, Kalkan town can be reached on foot. Towels and sunbeds are free by the sea. Breakfast is hearty, they cook any kind of egg you want, the restaurant has a sea view. They also have another restaurant by the sea. Thank you to the reception and restaurant staff for their help.
