PolandWe had a marvelous time in Sahari hotel and we felt there like in heaven. The hotel is just next to the beautiful beach. The restaurant has an ocean view and the food there is very nice. The breakfasts are awesome. The stuff is extremely helpful, so the owners of the hotel. In general the time there was very relaxing. The rooms were very atmospherical and charming. Definitely we would love to come back to that awesome place.

Every morning, a delicious, extensive breakfast was served, with choices along the beach or from the panoramic rooftop restaurant, where you can also enjoy a delicious dinner in the evening at a reasonable price. They organize fun activities, such as a henna session, a short village walk with a very local guide, and so on. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. During my first few days, there was construction going on at the hotel, so I got a better price on Booking.com, which seems fair to me. There are several clean swimming pools you can use, with sea views. The beds are comfortable and clean, and the shower is good.

The hotel is just a few steps from the beach — the location couldn’t be better. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and beautifully designed, with a calm and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning. What really made the difference was the owner — extremely kind, helpful, and genuinely caring, he made sure everything was perfect for our stay. We truly felt welcome and relaxed the whole time. Highly recommended!

The owner says himself it’s not a hotel, but a home. And it’s easy to see why. This place is a warm community with great facilities and nature hand in hand. The atmosphere and the staff make sure you feel at home and they’ll help you with whatever you would need.
Me and my friends had a wonderful time in this beatiful home and we hope to return sometime soon!

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice.
Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open.
We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company.
Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email.
The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule.
The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent.
Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

We stayed at Hoom, in Dongwe, north of Bwejuu.
We stayed at Hoom, in Dongwe, north of Bwejuu. We did not actaully see the village of Bwejuu at all. The main road runs behind the beach from Jambiani to Dongwe and continues up north to Pingwe. You can travel by taxi (expensive - need to negotiate) tuk-tuk (less expensive, negotiate extensively) or daladala (cheap, you need to adapt). There are resorts and hotels along the beach, and right behind it, and also very poor villages. People burn waste in the evenings, including plastics. Zanzibar smells of nice spices, but also burnt plastics. Disposable plastic bags are banned in Tanzania, thank goodness, but plastic bottles are everywhere. We loved the beach in Dongwe because it's less commercial and has lots of natural shade. It also has some nice hotels and restaurants.

I really like the way Bwejuu is within reach to most scenic places. For example, I managed to reach places such as the Blue Safari, Stone Town, Kizimbani, and others, with ease. The people are very hospitable and ready to assist tourists at any time. May it is important to choose the right season to visit because I found the month of December very hot. However, the ocean compensate for the hot temperatures.

Outside of one of the most beautiful ocean and beaches we have seen, Bwejuu is a rather small village without much to expect from. However, Paje is only a few minutes away and has all the services you may be looking for.

Bwejuu is a small village with only a few hotels and limited restaurant options, but the hotels' restaurants are high quality so we didn't really mind. Paje has more options, but is also busier. Bwejuu is perfect for an intimate and relaxing getaway holiday away from the hustle and bustle.

The PiliPili Orient Beach is great. The staffs and manager are really attentive to all the needs. The private swimming pool is perfect and really convenient. The hotel, in front of the beach, offers a wonderful sea view from the restaurant. The food is also really good and the breakfast has a lot of variety. The bungalow owns 2 big rooms and 2 bathrooms, a kitchen side and living room. The back up generator is really useful in case of power cut.

Absolutely perfect! The hotel is brand new, so everything feels fresh and modern. The pool is stunning, and the location couldn’t be better – right on the beach with easy access to kitesurf spots. The staff are not only friendly and helpful, but also genuinely funny and warm, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. On top of that, the value for money is outstanding. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience

It's a very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool area and the restaurant are pleasant. The staff are lovely. It's a short walk to the vast and quiet beach. There are a couple of bars/restaurants within walking distance and the more lively Paje is a 15-minute drive away. The taxi service is reliable and reasonably priced. The woman who gives massages is good.

The whole property was excellent, built and decorated with good taste and respect to the environment. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was a very peaceful place on the beach. The pictures in the site underestimate the beauty of the hotel!
