I booked this place every year for the Bird Banding Coalition on Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan With the migration of all the birds in the spring and fall, this is the absolute best place to be! And a very appropriate name. Right on the dune with nothing but a protected beach for miles. It's absolutely breathtaking ❤️

Fantastic location. Quiet but only 15 minutes to Gulf Shores and right on the water. Saw dolphins every day just off the dock which is a great place to sit The Gulf beach at the nearby park is fantastic and almost deserted. The house is modern with lots of room and equipped with everything you need.

    We were truly amazed at how different each beach was.

    We were truly amazed at how different each beach was. The aquarium was a hit for the entire family. The littlest ones liked the stingray tank, everyone else said their favorite was the baby seahorses. We spent several hours at the fort.

    Too bad the beach is half a mile away from our rented condo.

    Too bad the beach is half a mile away from our rented condo. This property is listed as "beachfront". We enjoyed the West end beach and the beach by the fort as it was just a short walk to the beachfront. We had fun swimming and tanning at these 2 beaches. The Island is very clean. All the people that we encountered were very nice and extremely helpful!

    Very quiet and not a lot of people which we loved.

    Very quiet and not a lot of people which we loved. We didn’t explore the island mainly stayed on the beach. It is a long walk from condo to beach especially with toddlers. The water is definitely not as clear as Orange Beach and Florida but the kids still loved it.

    The island was wonderful, but we were met with a surprising ordinance that dampened our stay. You cannot use metal detectors, (we are amateurs and just purchased a few for the trip) On our second day, at the west end, we were approached and told that metal detecting was not allowed on the island. Look, we enjoyed the trip immensely but this item was quite surprising as I believe this could be viewed as an enjoyable activity for those making the trip only to find out it is not allowed. To close, we are looking to visit again very soon, its just that when I reflect on what could be better, this comes to me as opportunity. Enjoy your stay, we did.

    The beaches were nice and relaxed.

    The beaches were nice and relaxed. Loved that they were mostly dog friendly and others were respectful. The little aquarium was fun. Didn't like the views of the offshore oil rigs and the water was murky at the gulf facing beaches. Restaurants were weak. Mosquitos were out of control, we got eaten alive from dusk to dawn. Watch the gorgeous sunsets from West Beach, then run for the car!

    The beach is very nice and more private than others which is why we come here. We’ve been there many times. I do think there is a need for more restaurants. And perhaps grocery store closer! Better communication with regards to the ferry. ⛴️ We missed it every time we went down there.
