There is a lot to do in Fort Myers and the surrounding areas; however, the traffic is horrific. We thought it wouldn't be too bad doing things on a weekday, but we were wrong. If you do go to Fort Myers and have things scheduled, you will need to add plenty of extra time for the traffic.

The Ford and Edison Museum was really nice. We would go again.
Sanibel Island was a big disappointment. You pay $5 an hour to park. As soon as you open your doors you are attacked by noseeums, or midges. They are like gnats that bite. They follow you to the beach and never stop biting. We didn't stay long. We ran back o our car to get away from them and leave. They followed us and swarmed into our car. They continued to attack us as we drove back to the hotel. I would never go there again.

The hotel room & service was good.
The hotel room & service was good. The one thing I was upset about is that my my car was hit while parked in the hotel parking lot & I didn't feel management really cared. Manager didn't do anything about it like helping me to see the camera footage of the parking lot so I could try & identify the vehicle that hit me so I could report it to the police.

Found two excellent restaurants: Dixie Fish Company, and Salty Papa's Shrimp House. Highly recommend! Beaches on Sanibel Island are wonderful. I came for the purpose of shelling, and I was not disappointed. My favorite was Gulfside Beach City Park.

Make sure when you book you get your points this was an issue with all of the Wyndham properties we stayed at in Florida. Fort Myers is a beautiful place we were there before the hurricane and after and they are still dealing with the issues and it's so sad because this was a hopping place to be. It still is just not the same. We love Fort Myers.

The hotel staff is so friendly and kind, especially the lady at the breakfast buffet whose name is Natalia. She would lighten up everyone's morning with her smile and care. The hotel guests were so appreciative of her opening the breakfast buffet a little earlier on the weekend as there were many families with the kids who came to the swim meet and needed to leave before the breakfast was normally served during the weekend.

Was in a very convenient area being just off the I 75. There was a petrol station just across the road Rusty’s bar and grill across a side road was excellent value. Food good and drinks reasonable with an extra 10% off on producing La Quinta room key. Not too far from downtown Fort Myers.
