Location is great, walkable to the beach and center of waikiki. Also close to a mall with many shops and restaurants. My room was big and with a nice view of the marina/pool. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I tried the breakfast buffet which was delicious with healthy options.

FAQs about hotels in Honolulu

A True Water Sports Paradise

Standing proudly on the island of Oahu in the Pacific Ocean, Honolulu is the Hawaiian capital, meaning "a sheltered bay." Spreading along the white sandy beaches and supported by the strong back of the volcanic mountains, it's a real island paradise.

Honolulu's most popular and famous district, Waikiki, features the stunning Waikiki Beach decorated with hundreds of surfboards, palms and lounge chairs. It’s also a center for the city’s nightlife and shopping, especially along Kalakaua and Kuhio Avenues.

As the most popular activities in Honolulu include surfing, snorkeling, canoeing and other water sports, it's no surprise the city has a number of sandy beaches. Try Hanauma Bay, a crescent-shaped beach with rolling, green hills behind it.

For fans of hiking and exploring, nature awaits at Diamond Head Mountain, a volcanic tuff cone where you can admire the panoramic view of the city. There is also the Bishop Museum with the world’s largest collection of Hawaiian and Pacific artifacts and the Waikiki Aquarium with over 490 species of marine fauna and flora.

From hotels near Honolulu International Airport to hotels near the beach, Booking.com has plenty of properties, from cheap to luxury, for your Honolulu trip.

Stayed at Alohilani Waikiki Resort, the best in my experiences in hotels so far. Visited Duke's restaurant, loved the buffet there. Overall, Honolulu was amazing. There are plenty of things to do and see in Honolulu, but if you don’t have any plans, you can simply relax on the beach or take a swim in the ocean. Sometimes, doing nothing is the best part of the experience. I really appreciated the cleanliness and the fresh smell every morning. I'm actually considering retiring in Hawaii and would like to explore the other islands as well. I didn’t encounter anything negative during my time there, so I can’t suggest what to avoid. However, we were advised to be cautious of "very friendly" neighbors in the East.

It was excellent.

It was excellent. A unique blend of modernization with different cultures from European, to Asian , to Pacific Islanders, African to Latino making Honolulu a marvel to visit. Ala Moana Mall is just the greatest, with all the different items and services available including Food Courts showcasing the different cultures in Honolulu. Please do stop by Yugur Story Restaurant, they serve the famous Ube Pancake along with other savory entrees,

The Bishop Museum is full of fascinating exhibits and is worth a full day visit. Parking and entry is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Tip: If you are in the Waikiki area try the Mai Tais at sunset at each of the beach hotels -- Outrigger, Halekulani, Royal Hawaiian, etc -- working you way down the beach. They are all different and delicious.

Hawaii is not what we expected, but an experience now ticked off the list. Lovely friendly people, cultural history educational and we enjoyed delving into this. Quite a contrast of lifestyles from island to island. Exchange rate made it very expensive and so we didn't spend much apart from essentials. Mandatory tipping something we are not used to. The ticket price on items is the starting point not what you end up paying. Overall a good holiday.

This was my third trip to Oahu over the last several years, I love to visit there, it's a very special place where mountains meet the heavens and shoreline meets the ocean. If you're into shopping, dining, site seeing horseback riding, zip lines, and just lazy days on a beautiful beach this is the place to be. Please rent a car and travel the rest of the island the North shore is magnificent and OMG the local food leaves noting to be desired.

Well situated and great to be in an iconic hotel in Hawaii. The staff were friendly and helpful and even gave us some bubbly to help celebrate our anniversary. Of all the places we stayed during our stay in Hawaii, especially on Oahu, this felt like we were in Hawaii. Loved the ice-bream, nachos and water vouchers.

Definately the FREE PARKING 🚙 Waikīkī is so expensive to park in a hotel motel condo and also the valet ain’t cheap. We made this apartment our home during our stay here, bathroom was a little tight and small but we worked around it. Swimming pool was nice to cool off after a warm day in the sun.
