Isle of Palms is the excellent place. There is everything - Ocean, the giant beach with gold sand, silence, stories (gifts, swimming kit, grocery), restaurants with southern hospitality and southern dishes. And Amazing nature and cleanliness!!!

We live in SC and have spend a lot of time at all the beaches. For years Hilton Head was our preferred SC beach. Recently it has changed and not for the best. Isle of Palms seems to have kept its historic charm.

IOP great - with one exception
The biggest attraction is the beaches-
We spent a lot of money to enjoy the beaches
To get here and find that a large portion of them were being worked on by heavy equipment was extremely troubling.
Travelers should be forewarned of this type of activity when committing to accommodations and travel.

Sea Cabin condos has its own private pier and beach access which is nice. They are close to restaurants with live music.
IOP is nice for beach walks and has a laid back family vibe. There is a grocery store located right as you come into the island.
It’s very easy to get around the island by car. We saw lots of runners and bike riders too.
A big plus is in just a few minutes you can cross over the majestic Ravenel Bridge and be in charming historic downtown Charleston.

The beach is Beautiful!
The beach is Beautiful! Water is warm ,sand is soft but firm so walking was great . It is a lovely ! The condo we stayed at is part of The Dunes . We didn’t rent a car so we didn’t do any sight seeing (there is so much to see and do ) we were just there to simply enjoy the beach ! We did eat one night at Coastal Crest which is part of The Dunes which was excellent!! It is Italian food and pizza .Would highly recommend we had Italian dishes . They also have a restaurant on Mt Pleasant. We had an awesome week walking, swimming in ocean as well as pool and hot tub and simply relaxing !

I absolutely love the proximity to the beach, just steps away. Only a few rooms have ocean views and are priced higher. Seemed expensive for the quality of the rooms though the beach and restaurant access are very favorable. Acme Lowcountry is very good for dinner or breakfast and walking distance. Many dining options close by.

I loved that it is right by beach and although we didn’t eat at the restaurants near the property, there are a few to choose from. I liked that the property had the basic necessities needed just in case. We forgot beach chairs, luckily the property has two plus an umbrella. It was perfect for us; I would definitely stay here again.

It was a quiet time of year as IOP is a beach community. We were using this property as a home base for downtown Charleston activities. Would be great for a beach vacation, but not ideal for downtown as it is 30+ minutes. Great screened-in porch overlooking the marina.
