If you're going for the biggest garage sale, bring a good pair of walking shoes, sun screen, cash, drinks to hydrate and prepare for some great deals. If you're going for Lake George it's beautiful take a lot of photos. However beware parking is not your friend, inquire about the shuttle buses they have instead of fighting for a parking spot each day you go. In any case enjoy, we did.

Very cool old school resort town - we were happy to be there in the fall and not in the summer season when it gets quite crowded. At at Mario's Italian Restaurant - great food, great service and value!

I have a strange bond with this lake.
I have a strange bond with this lake. I don't know why. used to live in upstate NY and have been here many times before. Since I was just a kid. Been to many other lakes but no bind with them. Maybe the history, Revolutionary war buff. I don't know.

The Lake George area is so beautiful.
The Lake George area is so beautiful. The landscape of the mountains and lake are breathtaking. Staying in Lake George Village is preferable since you can walk everywhere in the Village, all the shops and really good places to eat. My favorite thing to do at the end of the day is to just sit and look at the serenity of Lake George.

I've been going to Lake George since I was a child and have brought my children to Lake George. We hadn't been back in 16 years, but finally had the opportunity to revisit it and it was wonderful for my daughter and I. We had many fond memories of Lake George and we made new ones now that we were able to go again. Lake George will always be our favorite place to go on vacation.

Great location - convenient for Lake George and everything else in the region. Easy to find via Google Maps. Hostess very pleasant and helpful. We had a Queen Room, which was a decent size, and as illustrated by the photos. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked well during the 95-degree heatwave. Wi-fi was fine. The bathroom was on the small side, but overall the room was good value. Coffee is available in the mornings from the communal kitchen.

The room was clean and functional. All I needed for a nights stay. The owner kindly let me leave my car there after check out while I walked down to Lake George. It's a short walk to a nearby restaurant, but you do have to walk along a road to get there. Convenient location for me.
